Organising seminars and workshops to create awareness and educate the public on social issues including health, education, community developments etc. Also training of volunteers to support our programmes in running youth activities to reduce the risk of anti-social behaviour and criminal activities.

We create awareness and provide support on cancer and dementia for Africa. We organise lectures, seminars and symposia on the subjects with a view to enlighten anyone with the conditions or their relatives on how to be prompted for medical check up, for early detection which could prevent fatality. We do organise test centres for free medical check ups and signpost them accordingly.

Friends of Diabetes International is currently running a Healthy Eating and Living options Project (HEALOP). This project will encourage and support African and Caribbean people living in Southwark to adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles, particularly weights to prevent or reduce the incident of type 2 diabetes. It is funded by Awards for All- The national Lottery Fund.

The Charity provides seminars, workshops, training, and coaching sessions. All activities are underpinned by research, to ensure that activities meet identified needs of promoting health, education, and the personal development of beneficiaries. In addition, the charity provides educational grants (tuition and associated expenses) to young people in Nigeria, to support post-primary education.
