Encouraging recreational and educational activities for all ages of the community

We are an independant local branch of the Radio Amateurs Emergency Network (RAYNET) who specialise in providing the community with communication facilities in times of emergency, and Public Safety at community events. We provide specialist communications links for community events attracting crowds from a few hundred to several thousands, and assist other Raynet groups nationally.

Hold fundraising events to raise money for things not covered in the general expenditure of the school, such as renewal of outdoor play equipment.

A primary school PTA. We hold regular fundraising events such as quiz nights, discos, summer and christmas fairs, BBQ's and refreshments at school events. This is to raise money to directly benefit the pupils and school.

Stoma Heroes offer lifestyle and emotional support, to anyone who has or connected to someone with a Stoma. We do this in a variety of ways on the internet using Twitter, WhatsApp, and Facebook. We also hold locally organized meetings in the Somerset area.

Friends of Freeways is a group of parents and relatives of those using Freeways' services which aims to provide mutual support for each other and to provide funds to supplement extra amenities for residents which includes giving gifts to the residents at Christmas time to be spent collectively on items or activities as well as arranging comedy shows at Leigh Court.

Objects - To benefit sick, elderly or poor persons resident in the area of benefit. Area Of Benefit - The town of Wiveliscombe and within one mile thereof, and the Hamlets of Langley Marsh, Huish Champflower, Brompton Ralph, Bathealton, Chipstable and Clatworthy (as prescribed by Governing Document).

The Piers Simon Appeal runs School in a Bag (SIAB) - an initiative that distributes rucksacks filled with stationery, learning resources and eating utensils to poor, orphan, vulnerable and disaster affected children around the world.SIAB runs many events including Home Farm Fest, a 3 day music festival held at the charity HQ in SomersetThe charity has 4 employees and 2 part time volunteers
