The Mama Upendo Children's Trust is the UK arm of the Mama Upendo Children's Home in Kitui, Kenya. We have 56 children that we house, educate and care for in a tiny compound. The children range in age from 3 to 18. Education is a major expense. We fund raise but also have a close managerial presence there, working closely with the Manager at the orphanage. We aim to provide a safe and loving home.

We seek to restore inform and educate.We do this by offering an insight into the secret lives of wild creatures by showcasing natural events using a live camera system which is broadcast over the internet and other platforms.We make films and offer first hand immersive field visits to schools,scout groups,forest schools in order to inform,educate and experience the natural wonders of wildlife.

Restoration of Bruton Abbey Park under Countryside Stewardship funded by DEFRA, using mainly but not exclusively voluntary labour, on hedges and wildlife sites, including fishponds together with picturesque landscape featuring Bruton Dovecote (H.T.) co-operating with Bruton Community Partnership and South Somerset District Council. Also vetting planning applications.

Founded in 1715 to help, poor children apprentices to some honest calling. The Charity seeks to assist young people under the age of 25 in their preparation for work, training or higher education.This has included: Equipment for training. Travel or living expenses for training courses. Purchase of books and voluntary work. Awards are modest but seek to facilitate learning, access and opportunity.

To award grants to people under the age of 25 to help towards expenses incurred while following a course in education, sport, art, theatre etc.

Payments made to people who have successfully applied to the Trustees for a donation towards costs of fuel/heating etc.

Relief of Poverty

To promote, for the benefit of the public including those with disabilities, the conservation protection and improvement, of the physical and natural environment of Wembdon Parklands. By raising funds to create a woodland nature trail, that benefits the well being of inhabitants of Wembdon and the surrounding areas. Providing, pathways, tree, hedges, sensory borders, seating & natural habitats.

Operating within St Peter & St Paul Parish Wincanton for local purposes.

THE TRUSTEES SHALL APPLY THE INCOME OF THE CHARITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF SUCH POOR PERSONS WHO RESIDE IN THE AREA OF THE CIVIL PARISH OF WEST CHINNOCK (INCLUDING MIDDLE CHINNOCK) AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT EITHER IN THE SUPPLY OF ARTICLES IN KIND OR IN GRANTS OF MONEY; PROVIDED THAT INCOME OF THE CHARITIES SHALL NOT BE APPLIED IN RELIEF OF RATES, TAXES OR OTHER PUBLIC FUNDS
