We are part of the world wide Inner Wheel organisation where we believe that through friendship and service to others we can make a difference to other peoples lives. We fund raise, whilst having fun, for many local charities which are sometimes very personal to any, or many, of our members. We also raise funds for Overseas, helping many charities involved in the care of women and children.

Benefits children/young people .

SEA meets twice a month to catalogue and preserve papers, e.g invoices tickets, programmes,and photographs, portraying the town's social history. Using the website, public events, reports in local press and radio, donations of ephemera are invited and the its use as a research facility. SEA aims to save ephemera and oral memories relating to the relocation of population from London in 1960's.

Re-enactment of Anglo Saxon life.Assist with upkeep of the village and various projects.

Church based activities

Provision of grants to parish organisations, support of event facilities, support of inter-village events and hosting annual events for the parish.

We receive rent from allotments and fields

Our primary activity is the management of two pieces of open land in the village of Blaxhall, which are managed to encourage biodiversity and conserve the environment, and to allow public access for recreation and leisure. Part of the land is made available to local people for cultivation as low-cost allotments. We also organise regular litter picks and engage in local tree- and hedge-planting.

To administer the village Green and playing field and to utilize any income derived for the benefit of the Village of Newton.

Rescue care & rehabilitation of seals & other local wildlife. Providing information about the hazards they face & the relevance of mankind. Giving inspiration to visitors to encourage action to tackle the problems that face people & wildlife.

We are a small parish Church with a population of fewer than 30 people. The Henry Smith charity supports us in the local community. The terms of the Charity are to support the poor in the parish.

The Town Estate has a small income from agricultural rents. This is divided between individual poverty, community poverty and educational needs, for the residents of Thorndon.

The Charity has now received donated funds and is actively seeking opportunities to fulfil its charitable objectives.
