The charity is principally engaged in the non profit provision of architectural services for humanitarian benefit.

For the public benefit, the relief and assistance of people in need in the U.K and in less developed countries who are the victims of war or natural disaster, trouble, or catastrophe in particular by the rent income generated from tenanted land/properties purchased exclusively within the UK. The Chris Shoesmith Global Foundation helps both backpackers and their families, we do this by giving honest help and advice as to any dangers that can be encountered whilst travelling. We also assist backpackers and their families should something go wrong such as; muggings, loss of any possessions, missing persons abroad and also bereavements.

The Charity provides grants to individuals and organisations for the benefit of the public and other charities or voluntary bodies

The Charity is an umbrella organisation for the United Pentecostal Oneness Church worldwide, facilitating the supervision and co-ordination of the local churches in countries around the world to ensure that they are consistent in their approach to doctrinal and pastoral matters through periodic training, accrediting and supervising pastors, and providing funds to churches in financial need.

The Foundation promotes the art of travel writing, particularly that concerning Hispanic and Latin American culture, notably through the awarding of grants and also by participation in relevant conferences and seminars. The main instrument is the award of the annual Michael Jacobs Grant for Travel Writing, and several travel writing workshops for budding travel writers have also been organised.
