Cylch Meithrin Dolwerdd is a Welsh medium playgroup (Cylch Meithrin) that runs sessional and full day care for children aged 2-4 years, serving St Dials and surrounding areas in Cwmbran. The setting uses a purpose built room for childcare, where areas are set out daily that reflect the aims and principles of the Foundation Phase to support and encourage the children's learning and development.

We provide a safe learning environment for children from the age of two to nursery age. Children learn through play with a wide variety of activities both indoors and outdoors. They also learn basic social skills while mixing with their peers, sharing toys and sitting down to eat snacks together.

To provide a hall for the benefit of the mostly local community. Activities include, private hire for weddings, children's play group, baby sensory, quilters. children's parties, tango. short mat bowls, keep fit, yoga, line dancing, badminton, , tea dances, Women's Institute, line dancing, busy bees,Parish Church Council, Parish Council, market, Zumba, Blood Doning, and PRUB etc.

Provision of a pre-school which runs three sessions a week during term time, in addition to a toddler group which runs one morning a month, term time.

Operates and maintains the community centre building and grounds enabling playgroup for infants and children, dance classes, sport and recreation clubs for special interest groups and a club for the elderly. Used for childrens parties, local elections.

Our Charity provides facilities - main hall with stage, annexe hall, kitchen and cloakroom - for all groups and societies in our community. This includes also the Pantomime Group, both rehearsals and performances; Council Meetings every 6 weeks and the Playgroup every weekday morning during term time. It is also available to hire for private functions.

The Gatty Hall functions as the centre of village life for the community of Ecclesfield and the surrounding area. Our main objective is to hire out our hall for as wide a range of activities as possible. We have bookings from mums, tots, playschool, echo (an organisation for the physically and mentally disabled), table tennis, hardy plants society, womans institute, as well as meetings for regular groups, parties and an auction. It is also used for our own fund raising.

The Charity was established to allow the people of Roffey, to use the institute. Users are Play Group,Brownies,Indoor Bowls,Badmington,Dance School,Judo and Sunday worship.
