Promoting road safety through improving driving standards and preparing candidates for the Advanced Driving Test

The activity of the Wolverhampton Advanced Motorist Group is to promote greater road safety. We give guidance to candidate car drivers to better their standard of driving with the intention of becoming members of the Institute of Advanced Motorists.

We aim to improve road safety and reduce collisions and casualties by improving driving and motorcycling knowledge, attitudes, skills and standards. Our main activities to achieve this are providing advanced driving and riding tuition to group members, organising group nights on relevant subjects, and providing an information stand at various shows and fairs in Lincolnshire.

Distributing Christian literature in this country, in prisons and abroad. Helping the homeless and persons with Addictions in the UK .

Advanced Driving coaching

The Group's primary function is to provide Associates with the opportunity to improve their standard of car driving to the level necessary to pass the IAM's Advanced Driving Test.

The Campaign promotes cycling for the public benefit in and around Exeter for: 1. promotion of public health2. promotion of healthy recreation in the interests of social welfare3. promotion of public safety, particularly on the highways4. advancement of educationby means including provision of cycling facilities, services, education, and raising matters regarding cycling and transport.

Providing families and people from disadvantaged groups with support and counselling, befriending, hospital visits, prison visits, social evenings

To promote the improvement of the standard of driving and the advancement of road safety by providing advice and guidance in order that people can pass the Institute of Advanced Motorists motorcycle test.

To provide support and guidance in preparing for the IAM RoadSmart advanced driving test.

Advances education about WWII RAF Pathfinder aircrew via such items as photographs, letters, flying logbooks, prisoner of war logbooks, personal belongings, medals, official RAF documents, and wartime publications. These artifacts are either directly related to the Pathfinders, or are used as an illustration of the wider context in which the Pathfinders and Bomber Command functioned.

To aid the resettlement and rehabilitation of offenders resident in Warwickshire or West Mercia who are (or have been) under the supervsion of the National Probabtion Service, with a view to reducing the risk of then reoffending.

We do sports activities for young people every Friday and at weekends. We signpost and inform community members regarding welfare and wellbeing. We support young people (offenders) to get back into education.

Healing Waters, MZ and Anchor City Academy are established as working hands of Anchor Care to organise conferences, seminars, educational programes for the general public. AC will specifically deal with the Youth, Adults, Lone Parents, Homeless and Ex Offenders by teaching and developing them to achieve their highest potential in life, and provide welfare support in UK and Africa

The Charity makes available facilities for the teaching and practice of Buddhism in Her Majesty's Prisons and other places of lawful detention or custody. It is the Religious Advisory Service for Buddhism to HMPPS and it provides licensed and suitably vetted Buddhist chaplains who regularly attend most of the prisons across England and Wales.

Provision of Advanced Driving guidance to all members of society

The charity receives applications from Police officers or members of Police staff in Devon and Cornwall, requesting an item/voucher etc. to be donated to a victim, witness or another person adversely affected by crime. The charity decides what to purchase, if anything, and this is sent to the officer/member of staff to deliver in person, acting as a morale boost for all involved.

Institute of Advanced Motorists affiliated group promoting road safety by providing information and advice fostering advanced motorcycle riding skills in the North East of England.

From 1st April 2011 to 31st March 2012 we have supported the following organisations; The Walker Street Contact Club, Victim Support, Daggards for Charity, St. Mary`s Church, Swine, E Yorks, restoration, Castle Hill Hospital Cancer Investigation Camera, Camphill Family, Botton Village nr. Whitby, N.Yorks, British Lung Foundation, Province of Yorks. N&E Riding,

The all champion charity provides support to bereaved families. It does run an awareness campaign on Knife crime, provides educational activities in relation to crime prevention in London. Also, the charity runs a youth project in relation to where young people are educating and producing music, taking part in sport and leisure activities from our London office.
