Crime and Justice Charities

Supporting initiatives and projects extensively working towards the reduction and prevention of crime within our community. We mainly work and operate with The Borough of Brent though, willingly assist in other locations of London. Our primary objective is to create and encourage better engagement with young people in order to discourage their involvement in gangs and similarly related crimes.

Using Faith-Based Programmes STARI (Spiritual Therapy Against Rage Issues) and POGA (Power Of Good Advice) to reduce violence in prisons and communities. Helping men to manage their anger constructively. Educating the societies to become spiritually incline against greed and selfishness. To promote peace and law abiding citizens.

IMANI REPRESENTS OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUNG PEOPLE AND FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITES WE SERVE. IN PARTICULAR, WE FOCUS ON THE NEEDS OF VUNERABLE YOUNG PEOPLE MANY OF WHOM HAVE EXPERIENCED SCHOOL EXCLUSION OR ARE EX-OFFENDERS. WE HAVE KEPT OUR FAITH WITH THE YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES ASSOCIATED WITH THE IMANI COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION. MANY OF THEM HAVE BECOME LEADERS IN THEIR OWN RIGHT.

Hampton Project provides education, vocational activities and personal development support for young offenders who do not have access to mainstream education. Provides a post-16 plan for young people, consisting of careers opportunities, signposting to training schemes and further education with support. Develops a range of group and individual support programmes partnered with external agencies

To promote for the benefit of the public the preservation and the protection of life by promoting higher standards of driving and road safety and for that purpose to establish institutions where training and instruction will be given to driving instructors and persons wishing to become driving instructors in road safety driving skills perceptual skills and related subjects can be fulfilled.

It provides the following services: information and advice, education, health (HIV/AIDS) employment, immigration, welfare, translation and interpretation. Promotion of Congolese culture and teaching of mother tongue, hospital, prison and home visits. Collection and distribution of clothes, household and other essential items to new asylum seekers and refugees etc..

Advice for motorists wishing to pass the Advanced Driving Test.

The charity: (a) operates as a christian group that works towards the rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-offenders into society (b) have meetings consisting of worship (music/songs etc), prayer, teaching, bible studies, etc (c) assists in family reconciliation and social development for the betterment of society (e) holds social events

Rooted in Christian compassion, we offer worldwide emotional, spiritual, and practical support to foreign prisoners, ex-prisoners, their families, and those affected by crime, whatever their race, national origin, sex, religion, or age. Our mission is to see lives transformed through faith in Christ, helping individuals find comfort, restoration, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Provide support to projects which engage young people in areas of crime prevention.

The charity funds a group of volunteer doctors and one nurse consultant who provide prehospital medical care to patients. The major component of our work is providing roadside care for victims of road traffic accidents, but we treat patients with a broad range of serious injury and illness. We aim to bring critical care skills to these patients that would normally only be found in hospitals.

The advancement of education of the public in drama and live theatre with particular emphasis on young people.

The charity delivers a range of support services and outreach projects that focus on the needs of young people in England. This is achieved through the provision of basic skills, social skills, functional skills and general academic qualification. "Calling the Shots" a multi media anti-violence resource package is delivered to schools, prisons and community and on its mobile activities unit.

The Trust continued to fund raise for the Soroptimist International charities, with donations being made to the Salvation Army, BAWSO (Black African Women Step Out), and New Pathways.Recycling of jewellery and other items continues throughout the Wales South Region, The work to raise awareness of Trafficking is ongoing, a symposium, Combating Modern Slavery was held in early 2015.

Gathering to worship regularly, encourage members and the public with words of God, we provide regular training and information that helps improve members lives.Relieve sickness and financial hardship through provision of funds and counselling.We visit and administer the word of God and encouragement to prison inmates and render helps as needed for the rehabilitation of discharged.

Responsible for the delivery of mental health awareness training for frontline prison staff working at London Prisons. We have also delivered events in the area of alcohol, young offenders older adult healthcare. We have also been provided advice in research and training. We have also delivered an event in the area of Learning disabilities and Offenders for prison, Probation and Police Staff.

Organise annual prison dental conference. Represent all members as regards their prison dental activities to all relevant parties. Set up and support regional prison dental groups. Inform all members of any relevant prison dental information through our website and newsletter.

To preserve and protect the mental health and relieve poverty, hardship, and the distress of persons who have suffered or currently suffer a legal restriction on their liberty and who are or were detained in prison and their spouses, partners, families, dependants and friends in particular by the establishment or maintenance of centres for use by the beneficiaries.

The charity advances the human rights of women, raises awareness of issues such as human trafficking and promotes public support for human rights. It has organised meetings between key stakeholders in this area including government ministers, NGOs and international supporters of Vital Voices, through which participants can develop initiatives and ideas and support and learn from each others work.

BLAST is about Change & Personal Transformation! BLAST deliver "Through The Gate Resettlement Services" to Prisoners in prison & after release; working with graduates & their families as needed to affect effective resettlement.Programmes cover Transformation, Employability, needs based support (accommodation & employment). Supported includes a "Through the Gate Caseworker" to affect resettlement.

To produce, promote and create a music album in aid of those affected by road and traffic accidents and to promote awareness in all aspects of road safety.
