The trustees have responsibility for the former primary school building which is rented out to a private company for educational purposes, the income paid to the trust will be used for the maintenance of the building as required and the remaining amount invested.

To promote social inclusion for the public good within the parish of Wehersfield by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving he needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society by organising or assistingwith the organisation of activities designed to entertain, educate or prompote a sense of community in the interests of social welfar

As a local civic society we organise educational activities to encourage awareness of local heritage. We hold seminars to share best practice with similar towns and we make recommendations to the local councils on the physical and economic development of the town. We publish educational books on the local environment and we support local schools in their citizenship curriculum.

Stimulate public interest in the area by promoting high standards of planning & architecture and securing the preservation, protection, development & improvement of features of natural, historic and public interest.

We reach out to people with the Gospel of Jesus by sharing tracts and having church services. We use personal or collective distribution of printed leaflets. Social media platforms are also a means to reach out to people. We have carried out pastoral care by providing foods for widows. We have also reached out to rural areas to share Gospel and to contribute to community development generally

Hull Civic Society monitors and comments on planning applications and aims to encourage high standards of design in new buildings and the conservation of historic buildings and those which contribute positively to the city's townscape. It holds public meetings October to April, summer guided walks and visits, provides a3 Newsletters a year and Update planning reports for members on email.
