Our group is called the 'New Horizons' group and organises community activities in the village. We hope to be much more active this coming year in our involvement with village activities.

We provide holidays and activities for children and young people with learning disabilities and their carers.

Character-building (courtesy, team-work, organisation,education , community spirit, skills) via use of members' skate &bmx park and in kind contribution to local town community activities. Activities involving skate/bmx park continued into summer 2013 when the LA reclaimed the area for housing. Trustees and young people are actively seeking new premises.

Project Marigold is a UK based charity that focuses on small community development/rural projects.

Education in relation to healthy living and keeping mentally and physically fit. For example running trips to London or Jewellery making.

To promote the positive use of Barra Hall Park and it's facilities including the Hall itself. To continue to work to enhance and restore the park to its former glory. To provide activities and events for our community to participate in and enjoy.

Bangladesh Community Development (BCD) supports the Bangladeshi community in Birmingham by running projects that offer educational and social support to parents, young people and children of all ages.
