Oxen Park Cinema Club shows a diverse mix of mainstream, arthouse, and international films from September through April each year. Nestled in the south of the Lake District, the club provides a high-quality cinema experience to the rural communities of Colton Parish and its surroundings at its purpose-built Carthouse Cinema.

The provision of positive activities for rural young people aged 10 to 28 years

Trust document states the hall be run for the benefit of the local community. Local bodies including Parish council, local agricultural show, tennis, football & cricket club hold meetings and fundraising events. There is a book cafe and Kidz club. The hall is let for yoga, pilates, art classes, etc and other social occasions. A side room is let on a permanent basis to a wedding photographer.

The Trust raises funds for projects in Haryana in northern India, aimed at rural regeneration and building closer ties with rural communities in the state, directed at all times by the priorities of local people. Our major project is the building of a school and resource centre in the village of Buwan Kothi, in memory of one of our Trustees, Gilly Mundy, who died suddenly in March 2007.

The charity holds an annual agricultural show.

We organise an annual agricultural and horticulural show in the village of Gwenddwr, for the benefit of local people and visitors.

We are a locally based Association interested in the craft of bee-keeping. We train new & improving beekeepers in the wellbeing of bees & the production of quality hive products & promote the importance of bees & the conservation of bee-forage plants to the public. We meet regularly, attend country shows, collect swarms when necessary and aid pollination in our farming community.

The club meets every Monday evening and activitie vary from talks to visits to taking part in County organised activities. We hold a few fund raising events each year including an annual Ball, ploughing marathon and fancy dress disco.

The Madwa Foundation helps rural artisans in southern Africa to build their own businesses using their craft skills. The aim of the charity is break the cycle of poverty the artisans find themselves in and to protect their unique craft heritage. All products are made using natural sustainable materials.
