The charity was set up to address the physical and mental well-being needs of the farming and wider rural community of Greater Exmoor. It offers free drop-in clinic at the livestock market at Wheddon Cross coinciding with monthly cattle and sheep sales. The clinics are staffed by NHS professionals and volunteers from local farming and community based charities.

The Medical Centre is a first port of call for people in Lalibela & surrounding villages, requiring medical, nursing & maternity care. These are typically poor farming families. The nearest main hospital is 140 miles away and has poor treatment outcomes. Medical care is provided in line with the patient's ability to pay. In this way, the very poor are able to access free medical and nursing care.

Weardale YFC is for young people aged between 10- 26 years. Meetings are held fortnightly on a Tuesday night throughout the year.
