The primary aim of SOLD - is to provide meaningful and quality work experience for adults with learning disabilities in a busy High Street shop. The charity supports the special needs of the trainees whilst teaching a range of new valuable skills that could potentially be transferred and built upon in further work placements and ultimately help them gain paid employment.

The community centre is a facility for people of all ages offering a wide range of services and activities to the both the local community and surrounding areas. We work in partnership with other voluntary groups with an aim to improving peoples lives through access to leisure, community groups, education, support into employment and youth provision.

Around 100 Trust volunteers drawn from the churches across Wokingham are involved in activities to support the local schools in helping their students deal with the pressures they face from stress at school, bullying, sexual pressures and bleak employment prospects. These services are given from a Christian moral and spiritual perspective where appropriate.

SCV provide vital services and resources at the STAR Community Centre, Splott Road, Cardiff, for those in need, using surplus food donations from local sources. We provide a hot meal and fresh food to take away, improving quality of life and supporting the alleviation of poverty, together with generating long-term employment opportunities for our volunteers.

To prepare former offenders for employment, education or training

Leominster Food Bank operates from premises behind the Priory Church in Leominster. We offer food, and other essential items, to anyone experiencing food poverty, via referrals from other agencies, such as the Job Centre, Social Services, etc. We also offer a Food Share service of surplus items from shops and supermarkets. This is available to anyone - no referral needed.

To encourage those living in its area of benefit, to use their Community Centre as a step up to learning skills and springboard to employment, to develop social and interactive skills and networks and to pursue hobbies and other interests. Also to obtain sufficient funds from the lettings to meet the financial requirements to keep the building in good repair and support community based projects.

Tools 4 Teens provides a daily learning programme for disadvantaged young people from Hackney. Our activities include life skills workshops, interactive educational courses and recreational activities. We empower these young adults with the qualifications and emotional stability they need, so they can fulfil their potential, contribute to their community and overcome barriers to employment.

The Church holds 1 service of worship each Sunday, a weekly prayer meeting & small groups. Each week it runs a weekly Community Drop-in day, a CAP Job Club & supports the Trussell Trust Handsworth Food Bank. It partners with Age UK & other local Churches in the HDCO charity & with Community Chaplaincy, supporting probationers. It also runs clubs for children/young people including a Music Academy.

The Objectives of the Charity continues to be the support of Young Peoples Education and Employment in Uganda, Kenya and Malawi through five schools and a vocational training college. In Uganda, we also support Mr Edward Nsimbi as he seeks to help poorer nationals to gain skills in handling finance and starting small businesses.

The trust raises money to provide funding for the employment of a scientific researcher to carry out research into rhabdomyosarcoma, and provides counselling and advice.
