The Charity is emerging from an extensive period of re-structuring, supported heavily by volunteers.In place, a new five year business plan with a focus on those not in education, employment and training. Themes: BUILDING CAPACITY; SUPPORTING LOCAL SELF-HELP PARTNERSHIPS; PROMOTING COMMUNITY TALENTS AND THE ARTS

TO PROVIDE A LOCAL LIBARY WITH I.T FACILITIES. THE HUB WAS SET UP AFTER THE REMOVAL OF THE LOCAL LIBRARY. THE FREE I.T FACILITIES ARE USED BY JOB SEEKERS TO SIGN ON AND SEEK EMPLOYMENT.HELPING ORGANISATIONS ARE OFFERED A FREE OUT REACH FACILITY TO SEE CLIENTS. RESIDENTS CAN GET RECYCLING BAGS AND LOCAL INFORMATION, SUCH AS COMMUNITY COUNTY COUNCIL MINUTES. WE HELP TO DEVELOP NEW COMMUNITY GROUPS.

DVA relieves the needs of people who have been victims of conflict from any source, for public benefit, relieving suffering, poverty, distress to build maintaining social cohesion & trust within our communities, in particular; providing advice, guidance, meditation, counselling; ork experience, job placements for unemployed victims helping with recovery

Education - particularly of people no longer in full time employment.

BCS's work as a charity mainly concentrates in Birmingham,we intend to improve the life chances and the aspirations of the disadvantaged children through supporting their families into employment.People from South Asia and the Africa are concentrated in these areas and research has shown that the level of academic achievement is very poor.Our goal is to improve their overall quaility of life.

Our activities are very much community based. A small fishing village, with an industrial history of ironstone mining, and steel works, only a small specialised part of the steelworks remaining (steel brought in by road/rail, from Teesside). High number of unemployed/retired in an area of social deprivation. A good and tight knit community, the village hall provides for the needs of the community

Make grants to young people to help with expenses of further education and to improve chances of future employment.

International Christian Gospel Ministries(ICGM) preaches the Gospel in the UK and Uganda. ICGM plants churches, disciples new believers, encourages and builds people, prays for the sick, relieves the poor through training in practical technical skills for job creation and employment ICGM is a charity and a limited company, that relies on donations and grants to finance its activities.

We regularly collect excess food from two supermarkets and distribute to needy people in the community in BuckinghamshireWe donate food and presents to underprivileged at ChristmasWe continue to train Trustees and consult with training and funding providers moving towards offering qualifications to aid employment prospects.We provide opportunity for worship and Bible Study

The Island Initiative directs its efforts at conserving the marine environment and helping remote island communities to develop new sustainable employment opportunities - fly fishing guiding, fly tying, hotel services, jewellery making. The main activities of JSJS this year have centred around mainly on (a) Advice and guidance on employment, education, career, training and social issues (b) cultural activities such as discussion of Bengali prose and poetry and drama (d) practical support on CV preparation, availing job-adverts to clients, helping prepare for job interviews, (e) sign positing clients to other services.

For the benefit of primarily men 18 plus in the Winterton area, including the retired, unemployed or those with health problems, facilities for hobbies, recreation & other leisure time occupations including practical interests, skills sharing, learning new skills and helping with community based projects

IWUFT aims to: a) encourage and enable older people no longer in full-time paid employment to help each other to share their knowledge, skills, interests and experience. b) demonstrate the benefits and enjoyment to be gained and the new horizons to be discovered in learning throughout life. c) celebrate the capabilities and potential of older people and their value to society.

Helping unemployed people in the most deprived areas of Nottingham. Providing professional appropriate work wear, training and support to raise employment prospects and contribute in a practical way to reducing worklessness in disadvantaged communities. Dramatically increasing confidence of those who struggle to believe in themselves and so find it difficult to sell themselves to an employer.
