Education Charities That specialise in Further education

Make grants to local young persons (16 - 25) who have left school, to assist with their further education.

Serving the church in Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly in word ministry without forgetting the wider needs of the church. We support the church by: Biblical languages training (Hebrew and Greek, in partnership with Tyndale House, Cambridge) and MOCLAM (Moore College Extension in Latin America), as well as ad hoc support for churches.

Established through the Will of Edward Brown, the Trust provides the premises for Browns C of E Primary School. Grants are made to support the development of the school for projects or resources that fall outside normal educational provision and to young people under 25 yrs of age residing in the parish of Horbling, towards the cost of further education/equipment to support training for a trade.

Income mainly interest from investments. Income is given out in September to parents who are resident in the parish of Frosterley and have children in full time higher or further education. No one under age 11 is eligible.

The John Ruskin School Prize Fund (sometimes referred to as The Tom Usher Fund) can provide funding for ex-John Ruskin School students towards sixth form studies, an apprenticeship or Further Education course. Applicants must be under 18 years old. Only one application per student. Applications open 1 Sept, and forms must be submitted by 31 Oct in same year. Forms available on the school website.

The touring of nostalgic drama and entertainment to residential & nursing homes, day centres, sheltered accommodation, hospices,village halls, and theatres. The programme encourages participation by an elderly and infirm audience base. An outreach programme serving primary and secondary schools & colleges.Further outreach work with visually impaired people using drama as an empowering tool.

To advance the education of students by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the college (not normally provided by the local authority).

InterVol support student volunteering groups at six universities: Birmingham, Nottingham, Lancaster, Oxford Brookes, SOAS, and Imperial College London. Our projects work with both local and overseas partners on a range of charitable projects including education and refugee services. Volunteers gain skills and training while small grants are provided to our partners through fund-raising.

CHRISTIANS FROM LOCAL CHURCHES WHO PATROL THE STREETS OF TAVISTOCK AT WEEKENDS FROM 10PM TO 2AM. WE AIM BY OUR PRESENCE TO REDUCE THE FEAR OF CRIME, BRING A LISTENING EAR, PROVIDE PRACTICAL HELP AND SIGNPOST FOLK TO AGENCIES FOR ASSISTANCE. WE ALSO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND A CARING PRESENCE AT TAVISTOCK COLLEGE EACH WEDNESDAY. WE WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH DEVON AND CORNWALL POLICE, AND LOCAL COUNCILS.

Fundraising for benefit of Holsworthy College- a secondary school in a rural area. Funds are donated for equipment.

Supporting a Rabbinical College in Israel

- Capacity building for partner organisations such as UDA- Fundraising for Shakiso girls? hostel- Supplying ICTs resources to schools- Providing educational resources such as books to Adola Teachers Education College- Running workshops for teachers and students on various educational topics- Providing seminars to black EMs

Grants to aid reading parties at Balliol College, Oxford.

The Barbara Anne English Literature Memorial Prize Trust (the Trust) exists to advance the study of English Literature through supporting students of Nelson and Colne College, principally by awarding prizes. The Trust was established to recognise the skills and achievements of students in English Literature.

To assist young students who are deemed to be excellent in their studies to fund further education, primarliy in India and Pakistan, but across all geographies.

HOLDS INTERDENOMINATIONAL PRAYER MEETINGS IN LONDON. WE ARE NOW DEALING WITH ERADICATION OF POVERTY IN EAST AFRICA AND WEST AFRICA. OUR FOCUS IS TO EQUIP MOTHERS WHO HAVE BEEN NEGLECTED IN THEIR SOCITIES. WE ALSO REHABILITATE YOUTH WHO ARE ADDICTED TO ALCOHOL AND DRUG. WE ALSO PAY UNIVERSITY/COLLEGE FEE FOR THOSE THAT ARE NEEDY.

We organise and attend events within the school , raising funds. We provide funding to the school upon application and is carefully scrutinised to ensure that the funding request adheres to our charities ethics

Makes awards to benefit the students of Kirklees College, an exempt charity based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

ASSISTING THE GOVERNORS OF THE ARCHBISHOP BLANCH SCHOOL, LIVERPOOL, TO DISCHARGE THEIR OBLIGATIONS UNDER THE EDUCATION ACTS 1944 TO 1981 WITH RESPECT TO THE MAINTENANCE OF THE SAID SCHOOL. 2. PROVIDING AT THE SAID SCHOOL SPECIAL BENEFITS OF ANY KIND NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY; AND 3. PROMOTING THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS ATTENDING THE SAID SCHOOL.
