Education Charities That specialise in Further education

The charity was originally set up to provide grants to local school children to help them with further education and also provide spectacles. These aims are now somewhat outdated.

The object of the University College shall be the provision, conduct and development of the University College to provide higher education for the industries, professions and communities associated with rural land. The charity is not currently active.

The advancement of education and the Christian religion, to assist in building projects both new and existing and furthermore the provision of playgrounds, playing fields or sports equipment and when funds so allow towards the maintenance of the college, provision of places in the college for the underprivileged and sharing costs towards lectures, films and books of an educational character.

Provide and maintain a school and college

The advancement of education by the provision of assistance for students at the Oxford and Cherwell College under the age of 25 years to travel in countries outside the United Kingdom so that their education may be promoted by such travel.

The objects of the Fund are:1. To enable the Musicians Benevolent Fund to care for musicians suffering from crippling and degenerative diseases by providing special facilities in their homes or helping with the costs of nursing care, accommodation or other needs. To finance the establishment of a music building at St Hilda's College, Oxford, where Jacqueline du Pre was an honorary fellow.

EDUCATION

Currently under discussion by senior management of the school as to the best way to use the Trust, both to improve funds, and make best use of the trust for the benefit of the students. If fund raising becomes as large as is being considered then the personnel involved, and the running of the trust will change.

Making grants to young people to help them get the most from their education and allow them to take advantage of educational opportunities.

The support of wind band and wind ensemble musicians in all walks of life. The promotion and support of educational events. The support and promotion of wind band and wind ensemble compositions. The administration of the College Commission Consortium.

1. To advance promote and encourage the education of young persons of either sex by the provision of awards in the form of: (A) Scholarships, bursaries, grants or otherwise (B) Travelling scholarships (C) Prizes. 2. For the benefit of such other exclusively charitable objects and purposes in the United Kingdom or in any other part of the world as the trustees shall in discretion think fit.

Education / Training

The charity was formed to assist and promote the Corby City Technology College Trust (now Brooke Weston Academy) and for the advancement of education generally. The charity holds land only which it has made available to the Academy by granting a lease.

Provision of Training and Educational courses

To support the youth bands of Glossopdale Community College by fund raising and assisting at concerts, contests and tours.

Support students attending classes at Adult Education College Bexley by proviing financial assistance with costs of course and creche fees and other costs directly related to the course, provision of specialised equipment and human resources (eg volunteer assistance, signers etc)

High School and Sixth Form College, operating in Sandbach, Cheshire.

Provision of quality training and childcare with a view to enhance further education and employment opportunities for people with mulpiple disadvantage such as ethnic minorities, refugees and women returnees in the local area

Provide a therapeutic working environment for adults with special needs who use the Day Centre or visit the farm for activities with their carers.Educational activities on horticulture and livestock production.Engaging with schools, college and children through courses and activities.Provide opportunities for volunteers, young people and those seeking employment, to participate in farm activities.

The Charity applies its income in promoting the education (including social and physical training) of pupils and former pupils of Stonyhurst College who are under the age of 25 years, in one or more of the following ways or in such other ways as the Trustees think fit.

The trust was established on the death of Harry Mortimer to encourage and support young British brass players, particularly those involved within the brass band movement. Annual awards are made to outstanding young students nominated by universities and colleges to further their careers.

To advance the mental, physical and spiritual welfare of young people whether at work, unemployed or in further education by promoting their participation in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award

To promote study and research in christian theology and research into the role of religion in eliminating violence and promoting peace. Grants restricted to those at Oxford University with preference to mature students at Harris Manchester College.
