SHOCC is the official charity of St Mary's University, Twickenham, and works with the poorest and most marginalized in society. Provision of facilities for School and University teachers to run one-day or two-day field courses that will introduce young people to subjects relevant to the minerals industry such as applied geology, metalliferous mining and mineral extraction. The Charity also hosts visits to the mine by local interest groups and by interested post-graduate departments of Universities. It encourages research.

This year we are providing financial and other help to enable 34 children in Ecuador to attend secondary school or university.

The objective of the charity is that the funds are made available to benefit the patients and staff of Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, or for any other NHS organisation on behalf of whom the Trust administers funds.

The charity operates to fulfill its objects by providing facilities for playing croquet in Highfields Park, University Boulevard, Nottingham, NG7 2PS. In addition to encouraging social play, it teaches beginners and gives more advanced coaching, organises local competitions, enters teams in regional leagues and hosts national tournaments.

CEDF provides community language classes to children and young people. Its activities include raising awareness of the Panjabi culture and heritage, family learning and homework clubs from its learning centre in Hockley. CEDF works in partnership with local schools, universities and community organisations to publicise the language and make its projects accessible in other venues.
