Education Charities That specialise in Higher education

Our focus is promoting healthy recreational activities through the sport of rowing. We operate the Leeds Boathouse to encourage and enable the Leeds community to participate in rowing, from beginners to elite athletes. We work with Leeds Rowing Club, Leeds University Boat Club and British rowing to facilitate these opportunities.

Research and archiving of SOE ,BCRA, RAF Special Duties Squadrons and French Resistance Activities in WW2 in UK and FRANCE plus interviewing/filming of Veterans of above. Acting as an outreach vehicle for certain Educational and Museum Establishments eg University of Sussex Centre for Resistance Studies initiative for the above.

Monthly lectures, 2 annual conferences, publications, visits, displays and small grants with the aim of educating the public and promoting study in the fields of history, archaeology and architectural history, particularly in relation to the county of Cambridgeshire. The Society represents the interests of these fields within the county to bodies like local government and Cambridge University.

Promote amateur sport by supporting schools, universities, colleges and clubs with coaching, equipment and organizing tournaments.

Educational support: Educare works in partnership with families to support girls complete high school education. The charity pays part of the school fees and the family pays the rest. This way families retain a stake in ther child's education. This support is aimed at bright young women to enable them to gain access to university level education or better job opportunities.

Melrose Paris Foundation works in Freetown and surrounding areas, in Sierra Leone, West Africa.We are working to advance the education of schoolchildren and higher education students, by the provision of support in the form of books, stationary, equipment and bursaries.We also provide relief from poverty to individuals and organisations in the form of items, medical supplies, and equipment.

As a member society of The Arts Society, formerly NADFAS, the Charity provides for public benefit the promotion and advancement of aesthetic education, the cultivation, appreciation and study of the decorative and fine arts, aiding the preservation of our national artistic heritage, and supporting arts education for school pupils and university students.

Care in Action Malawi recognizes that education is key to escaping poverty, so will work with Community Based Organisations in Malawi to sponsor school and university fees, early child development and learning support. We aim to give all the necessary support to help individuals be self-sufficient and organisations to grow their capacity, including giving aid in times of disaster or hardship.

The main aim of the choir is to give concerts to raise funds for a range of organisations in the area. Two of the concerts are major events one of which enables us to support a very worthwhile organisation with a donation. The recipient body changes from year to year. The choir also provides an annual bursary to a Keele University music student.

Religious activities

The charity owns a property and some of the rent from that property is given to students to help them at in further education and higher education. We oversee the schoolrooms and give advice and help to the management committee.

Award of bursaries to 9 students to study at UK universities commencing September 2018.

Making grants to eligible individuals to fund learning opportunities.

We fundraise in the UK for the benefit of teachers in community schools in Zambia who have no access to training and support. We are aiming to improve teachers access to training, resources and information to help them teach children in community schools. This will be through providing funding for training courses, a resource centre and grants for teachers to attend university.

Choral Society associated with the University of Plymouth.Open to students and staff of Plymouth University and the wider community. All voices welcome.Singing mainly classical and other choral works - large performances three times a year.Meet during term time: Tuesdays, the Sherwell Centre, Plymouth University campus.Annual subscription for adults, free for students.

Our small charity was set up in memory of Thomas Marshall who died before he could take up his university place. We raise funds to help with the education of the disadvantaged and mostly rural poor in Mozambique. The funds help with college fees, accommodation, uniform and school equipment and are administered in Mozambique by Francois and Alta Rauch on the charity's behalf.

FISH Northampton supports international students studying in Northamptonshire. Organise a calendar of events including a regular Monday evening session at the University of Northampton during term time, and occasional outings to local places of interest.

The charity works with partners in Kenya to assist young people from a rural area of Kakamega District in Western Kenya, to gain access to education in particular at High School and University levels, and through a vocational training scheme for young farmers.

George's Trust was formed with youth very much in mind. George was a special young man and his two main loves were music and sport . The Trust supports the Teenage Cancer Ward and Research in Southampton University Hospital. Provides small grants to youth projects and the Romsey Abbey Choir in the Romsey & Winchester area.

Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling and canoeing. But we also get to hang out with our friends, having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges. Every week we give almost half a million 6-25 year olds the skills they need for school, college, university, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills for life.

We award grants to children/young people aged 25 and under in our area (Millom to The Green and Millom to Bootle) to help them fulfil their dreams. Including, college/university students, sports awards, dance and music.

The charity aims to support rowing at Newcastle University for the public benefit by making grants.

Grants aid towards the cost of books, travel, stationery, specialist clothing to students between ages 16 to 25 attending sixth forms, colleges and universities. Students must be residents of the Parishes of Kingsclere and Ashford Hill with Headley.

New Routes UK exists to raise awareness and funds in support of the New Routes Foundation, which supports orphaned and disadvantaged young people in Kenya to receive a university education.

The charity aims to promote increased representation of women in science careers through supporting their higher education. The charity will financially support women from disadvantaged backgrounds through studying a Science based degree and also support STEM outreach interventions prior to Higher Education.
