WE OPEN THE GARDENS TWICE A WEEK AND ARE INTENDING TO INCREASE THIS. WE INVOLVE THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, SCHOOLS, UNIVERSITY, COLLEGES AND BUSINESSES IN OUR WORK.

ALI ADAM TRUST IS A NON PROFIT CHARITABLE ORGANISATION WITH THE MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE ADVANCEMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION THROUGH PROVISION OF SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED STUDENTS APPLYING TO HIGHER EDUCATION IN ESTEEMEED UNIVERSITIES AROUND THE WORLD.

The Charity provides sponsorship funds to a Maasai community in southern Kenya, primarily to enable high school age children to attend school and subsequently college or university. Funds are also provided for the maintenance of a borehole and drainage for a vegetable garden as well as support for a community centre to enable education and the continuance of Maasai culture.

The Foundation?s activities include: establishing contact with: government ministries; embassies; NGO?s; corporations; museums; libraries; universities [educational institutions]; organizations & companies involved in the restoration & preservation of buildings, documents [manuscripts, books], frescoes, religious & archaeological materials; & other charities; making grants; providing advice.

The Lighting Education Trust operates with the backing of the lighting industry and profession, providing funds for educational courses at tertiary institutions and delivering the LET Diploma in Lighting Design in association with UCL, University College London.Grants are made to undergraduate and Post Graduate courses from funds generated from lighting Industry sponsors including Manufacturers

Raises funds to award the annual Ruth First Scholarship to enable a student from southern Africa to take a taught Master's course at Durham University

The Foundation awards annual grants to young people under 25 living in Coggeshall who have left school and are going on to higher education or training.

Spaceguard UK is supporting the activities of The Spaceguard Centre, an astronomical observatory specialising in the NEO hazard. The major project being supported at the moment is the building of a dome to house a large telescope gifted to the Centre by Cambridge University. This new facility will enhance the Centre's outreach and educational programmes.

Lauriston Lights is a charity that brings together high-achieving children with students from universities across the UK in the transitional summer between primary and secondary. Over a two week summer camp, we hope to help children find the confidence and skills to thrive in the difficult first year of secondary school and beyond.
