Activities - offering a wide range of on-going and one-off activities for people with learning disabilities. Volunteering - providing opportunities for volunteers to work in our small retail shop selling local artist work and providing work experience for people with learning disabilities. The Friary delivers advice, health and support services which help empower local vulnerable unemployed adults to rebuild their lives. We offer a variety of services under one roof so as to help address the complex needs represented within our client base. These services include a GP surgery, drugs counselling, welfare rights advice, clothing and food provision and IT literacy training.

The charity's Objects are the relief of need and poverty of homeless people in Harrogate and district by providing accommodation, education, training, personal development opportunities, counselling, mentoring and advice.

Since 2001 The Porch has provided a place of safety, change and challenge for Oxford's homeless and vulnerably housed single adults. Through our support work, our cafe serving nutritious subsidized meals, and our range of activities we help members find somewhere to live, reconnect socially, increase self-esteem, acquire new skills, make a contribution and gain employment.

Partnership working in prisons & the community; providing volunteer mentors for people involved in the criminal justice system, supporting them holistically to change behaviour and reduce harm to the community; recruiting training and supporting community members to volunteer; delivery of mentoring service; identifying appropriate specialised services for referral; applications to grant funding.
