The mentoring is free-of-charge, short-term (around 4 months) and focused on specific, strategic issues as presented by the mentee. Activities include; recruiting suitable mentors, developing and improving our services and making them available to the not-for-profit sector.

SASCA provides to Somali elders in city of Manchester support on their daily lives such advice for welfare right, Home visiting, Interpretation, escorting, supporting GP and Hospital appointment and afternoon social club. SASCA provides free, confidential advice services on the following issues;Welfare rights, debt issues, education, training & employment, housing, health issue and immigration

Rhiza UK raises funds to support the work of Rhiza, which operates in South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi, providing community-based education, health care, skills development and employment programmes for underprivileged people in the disadvantaged communities. Rhiza UK monitors and exercises control to make sure that grants are spent according to agreed charitable purposes.

The principal activity of SYPP is the provision of a detached youth work project supporting young people living in the Saffron Estate, Leicester & other areas with a similar economic profile in Leicestershire, in accessing & developing opportunities available. Issues include bullying, unemployment, racism, social exclusion & deprivation. The Estate is in the top 2% most deprived areas in England.

THE CHARITY PROVIDES MICROLOANS HELPING FAMILIES BECOME SELF SUFFICENT

Funded by donations.Free access to collection of 20,000 books ( constantly updated) educational materials, quiet safe study area, public computers, computers classes.Many public events around literacy & the Arts. 5000 children's books & separate children's space with own activities

Based in Newport, South Wales, and working in partnership with churches and organisations to provide a drop-in and varied programme of "Shoulder-to-Shoulder" activities for guests. The charity offers both practical and health support, including freedom from addiction, help with the development of soft and employability skills and encouragement to move towards sustainable, independent living.
