Interest groups are formed and decide on activities which are organised by a group leader nominated by the group. Aughton - Ormskirk U3A is a dynamic outward looking collective of retired people which provides a framework for a positive creative approach & life after full-time work at a minimal cost. No qualifications are needed and none are given. It is affiliated with over 600 other groups as part of the Third Age Trust UK.

As an affiliated member of The Third Age Trust, Formby U3A offers its members an extensive range of educational/interest opportunities.

Support learning and promote the benefits of self-help learning for all members of Carlton and Gedling U3A through a variety of group activities organised by individual members.

Our charity is democratic, self funded and a self managed organisation which exists to provide education & leisure activities for men & women, no longer in full time employment. Activities are organised entirely by members who both learn from & teach each other. At present nearly 70 groups meet to discuss & learn about a wide variety of subjects.

Cheddar Village Hall serves the community of Cheddar Parish and nearby areas. It functions as a venue for hire by local organisations and contains a large hall with a stage, 2 meeting rooms, a kitchen and toilets. A large number of local organisations use it including Cheddar Valley U3A, dance classes, 4 badminton clubs, a Country Market, society meetings, Church meetings and many others.

Objectives of U3A are 1. to advance the education of the public, in particular the education of older people no longer in full time gainful employment in Whitwick and District and its surrounding locality. 2.The provision of facilities for leisure time and recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the above persons in the interests of their social welfare.

The Charity provides opportunities for older people to meet for the purposes of interest, education and leisure. There are monthly lectures and talks and a wide variety of interest groups.

CANVEY ISLAND U3A IS A SELF-HELP, SELF-MANAGED LIFELONG LEARNING CO-OPERATIVE FOR OLDER PEOPLE NO LONGER IN FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT. WE HOLD A MONTHLY MEETING FOR OUR MEMBERS. MEMBERS SHARE LEARNING EXPERIENCES IN A WIDE RANGE OF INTEREST GROUPS TO PURSUE LEARNING NOT FOR QUALIFICATION BUT FOR FUN

The Charity provides support to constituent U3As within the North West of England through the educational programme of the Third Age Trust - Charity No: 288007, and by delivering and developing educational activities and events that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of U3A constituent charities.

Brighton and Hove U3A is one of 1100 u3a around the country that are designed to promote self learning. It provides a wide range of social and educational group activities during the day for those not in full time employment.
