Education Charities That specialise in University of the third age

The Village Hall provides a facility for community groups. Current activities include W.I., Indoor Sports, Yoga, Youth groups, 1st Illogan Scouts, Jenny Dance, Martial Arts, Canasta Club (U3A), Friends of Manaingham Wood, & Cornwall Scale Modellers. The hall is also used for private functions and by touring drama groups. The overal aim is to support community development.

Provides an educational and social facility for those who are retired or semi retired. Runs a monthly 'main' meeting and approximately 60 groups that operate through the month in a wide range of subjects details of which can be sourced on our website. Membership is just over 500. We are affiliated to The Third Age Trust.

Educational, recreational and leisure activities for people over 50

To advance education of people not in full time employment who are in their Third Age; and who reside in the District of Wyre Forest and its surrounding locality.

The U3A encourages education and research through members sharing their knowledge and talents freely with each other in informal learning interest groups. Through this self-help model, members contribute to a wide range of engaging and stimulating interest groups in am atmosphere of mutual support and companionship.

The advancement of education, and in particular the education of older people and those who are retired from full time work, by all means including associated activities conducive to learning and personal development residing in Eastwood and the surrounding area.

The charity is a member-led organisation for retired and semi-retired people living in Teignmouth and District. It offers opportunities to meet regularly to share experiences, knowledge, philosophies, values and ideas.

THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND, IN PARTICULAR, THE EDUCATION OF OLDER PEOPLE AND THOSE WHO ARE RETIRED FROM FULL TIME WORK, BY ALL MEANS INCLUDING ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES CONDUCIVE TO LEARNING AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

We provide a forum for education and social gatherings of retired or semi-retired people by means of self-help groups. We also provide such education by means of monthly speakers and visits.

We provide a wide range of study group activities for our members who range from 55+.

In Wadhurst and surrounding areas we encourage and enable older people no longer in full time paid employment to help each other to share their knowledge, skills, interests and experience.We are currently running 23 groups that meet at least once a month covering interests in the educational, cultural, recreational and physical areas.

To advance the education of the public and in particular the education of older people no longer in gainful employment in Settle and its surrounding locality.

Provides Crown Green Bowling Coaching for juniors aged nine years and upwards and for individuals.Provides social activities for members and the University of the Third Age (U3A) organisation.Provides facilities for the general public

U3A is an international organisation for the retired and others with time to devote to learning and teaching. People gain valuable knowledge through life's experiences which they can pass on to others by means of shared interest groups. All members are encouraged to contribute.

U3A Dereham provides a framework to allow people of similar interests to meet together in groups; to organise how when and where they would like to meet; what why and where they will be doing it. It is for the benefit of third-agers (generally the retired). Membership subscription enables monthly meetings for all members in a warm comfortable environment with good speakers, time for socialising.

Education and Training of retired people

Playgroups, primary school gym/dance, amateur drama and pantomime (rehearsal and performance), indoor archery, ballroom dancing and tea dancing, luncheon clubs, parish council meetings, antiques club, visually impaired people's club, fundraising , private parties, lectures films and demonstrations, U3A (art, sport)

To advance the education of older people who are no longer in full time employment. To put like minded people in touch with each other so that they may broaden and advance their interests and so have a fulfilling retirement.

U3A Groups are self-organising and meet on a regular basis. They each have a leader, who may or may not be expert in the subject to be studied, but who is willing to do some of the organisation.Meetings may take place weekly,fortnightly or monthly depending on the subject and members preferences. Members are encouraged to share their knowledge, skills, interests and experience with others.

Our charity exists to promote the use of the Community Library not only for traditional library use but to expand the out of hours use. The building and grounds are available to be enjoyed by all. We have volunteer gardeners and the indoor space is used by U3A groups, two Book Clubs and a volunteer led hearing aid clinic. Activities for young children are held during the main school holidays.

Continuing training and education for persons either retired or semi-retired in areas such as arts/culture and sport/recreation.

To offer people resident in Flitwick and the surrounding area in their 'third age' opportunities to improve their quality of life by learning new skills and passing on their knowledge in a very sociable atmosphere.
