Restore the Hermitage Field at the Crook O' Lune (LA2 9HU) into a species rich traditional hay meadow for the benefit of the Public and biodiversity. Fund-raising activities eg Raffles and table top sales.Monthly Social Meetings, held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the Riverside Dialysis unit.Attending patient information days for newly diagnosed kidney patients to offer peer support and information on the Association and its work..Attending workshops on renal matters to keep updated on new advances in the renal field.

Land management and helping in the village

We work towards developing a 150 acre wildlife conservation area known as Oakhill and provide volunteers to protect and conserve wildlife habitat and species on the site. We provide a free events diary of outdoor educational and recreational activities for people of all ages and abilities and encourage the local community to be proactive concerning nature conservation and environmental awareness.

DCV volunteers assist in the management and improvement of nature reserves and the maintenance of the public footpath and bridleway network throughout Dorset.We work on weekends throughout the year, undertaking a wide variety of work for charitable and statutory nature conservation organisations, local authorities and private landowners.
