Lantern Arts Centre is a performing arts centre with a Christian ethos. It serves the local community by providing a wide range of performances, clubs and classes which all are welcome to attend and/or take part in. Activities include two performances a year, Childrens' Theatre Clubs, Cafe Studio and Theatre in Education - addressing topics such as bullying and obesity.

Our main focus is operating a foodbank to our town and surrounding villages, 6 days a week and we deliver to our servicer users. Our foodbank operates a self referral system, both on line and over the phone, making it very private. We also operate a Community Fridge, a check in and chat cafe, prescription collection service and support services to those homeless and in hardship.

The Church is part of a quarterly preaching plan (produced by the Circuit of which Lichfield Methodist Church is part) which ensures regular acts of worship take place - open free of charge to anyone who wishes to attend. Public services of Christian worship on Sundays at 9.15am and 11.00am .Other service times see the church website.The church runs housegroups in various homes. Children's work includes Sunday Club ,Tiny Tots,Brownies and other activities run by volunteers. Youthwork is coordinated by a paid Youth Pastor assisted by volunteers. We also hold a Renew Wellbeing Cafe open to the community.

The project is working with women in their time of crisis across the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole areas. It is currently offering one-to-one support, self-development training, and group community activities to women, helping them rebuild their lives. 85% of beneficiaries are escaping abusive relationships and many have additional mental health support needs. We also run a community cafe.
