THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES GRANTS FOR PROJECTS TO RELEIVE PERSONS WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS BY REASON OF THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES AND FURTHER THE EDUCATION OF SUCH PERSONS. GRANTS WERE MADE DIRECTLY TO SUPPORT VARIOUS CAUSES THAT ASSIST CHILDREN'S HEALTH AND EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY CENTRES THAT HELP THE ELDERLY.

We provide the two Community Centres in WELLING and look after their management and upkeep.

We've run projects that help various communities in the local areas of our teams in various countries, including a project to improve the lives of Homeless People and we have constructed a sports/community centre and a school in Ahmedabad, India. Our aim as a charity is to inspire young people to make a change in the world, for more information visit our website.

The Community Association provides social and leisure facilities for local inhabitants. It runs a Parent & toddler group on up to four mornings per week and a Junior youth Club every Wednesday. A monthly Family Night and disco provides an opportunity for local residents to get together socially. The Community Centre is also available for private hire to individuals and local organisations.

The charity provides information, advice and support to people at risk of, or experiencing poverty.

The charity has been set up in preparation for a transfer of assets of a community centre and land from Newcastle City Council as part of their divestment policy. The Charity is currently dormant awaiting Council decisions on the terms of that transfer.The Community Centre is currently managed by our charity Westerhope and District Community Association registered charity number 1044378.

HEAVENLY MISSION CHURCH IS INVOLVED IN VARIOUS WAYS IN SERVING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. WE OFFER PRACTICAL CHRISTIAN BASED TEACHING AND PASTORAL SUPPORT TO PEOPLE OF ALL AGE GROUPS, YOUTH AND CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES, CAP MONEY MANAGEMENT TRAINING, COMMUNITY ACTION AND SUPPORT, HELP FOR THE HOMELESS AND OTHER VULNERABLE PEOPLE AND OVERSEAS AID AND MISSION.
