1. The relief of poverty, hardship and distress within the UK and overseas, in particular among deprived and undeveloped communities. 2. To promote humane behaviour towards animals which are in need of care and attention by reasons of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill health and to educate the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare.
