Ryde Lions Club, Isle of Wight, serves the local community and surrounding areas as well as helping people internationally.We do fundraising activities, such as BBQs, local cinema, and quiz evenings, which enable us to offer a grant policy for those in our community. We help in the organisation of PSA testing events, which have helped in the early detection of prostate cancer.

The objects of the CIO are:The relief of persons who are affected by prostate cancer, their carers and families, residing in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas, by providing information, advice and supportTo advance the education of the public in prostate cancer and prostate issues

1. The relief of suffering for people who are sick, disabled or infirm due to being afflicted by cancer, incurable neurological or muscular disease ,by providing specialist advice and equipment and supportive care. 2. The advancement of education by funding research into oncological and neurological disease where the results will be disseminated or public benefit

Provide help and support to people affected by cancer,particularly head and neck cancer.

We hold quarterly support meetings at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth for all Patients and Carers in the region who have had, or are about to have, an operation for Oesophageal-Gastric cancer. We visit some Patients and carers at home to provide support.We hold annual trips out to local places of interest for our members.We liaise regularly with other support groups, sharing information

ADVICE AND TREATMENT TO CANCER PATIENTS AND THEIR HELPERS

We fundraise to give Children with cancer, life limiting illness and terminally ill gifts throughout the year.

Can provide assistance for a number of Charities, Masonic and non Masonic, example of someawards to organisations of late are Marie Curie Cancer Care, Bletchingley Skills Centre, 2008 Festival for Girls and Boys and the Scout Holiday Homes Trust

Raises funds to assist in the fight against breast cancer.

DISTRIBUTES FUNDS ANNUALLY 2-4 TIMES, TO ASSIST PRIMARY MEDICAL CHARITIES AND ASSOCIATIONS INCLUDING HOSPICES, HOSPITALS WITH A LINK TO CANCER AND RESEARCH.

The objects of the charity are to relieve the physical or mental distress of persons with prostate cancer, and the partners, families friends and carers of persons with prostate cancer, by offering confidential support and information. To advance the education of the public in all issues relating to prostate cancer. These objects are achieved by holding regular meetings and events.

To provide relief of financial hardship to parents of children diagnosed with cancer. We will achieve this by providing grants to support travel and other related costs required to enable the treatment and/or rehabilitation of the child/ren.

The charity raises funds through donations and a variety of fund raising activities organised by the trustees or by individuals associated with the charity. Proceeds are donated to other charities involved in treatment or research in the field of cancer or to individuals suffering from the disease.

The group is specifically designed to meet the needs of the patients of breast cancer & offers support, advice & friendship. It's a place to meet and encourage members to try & offer each other self-help & support. Family & friends and anyone who wishes to become part of the group are very welcome. We meet once a month and try and offer an interesting and enjoyable meeting.

Nottingham Oasis Breast Cancer Trust is an expense free charity helping ladies who have had breast cancer. Our aim is to help with the financial difficulties individuals face and their families after or before facing hospital treatment. We help people with bespoke clothing to help with aftercare treatment also.

We make grants to relevant organisations and purchase goods and equipment for local organisations for the benefit of children undergoing cancer treatment and their families. Within our local community we hold our own events to raise funds and also accept donations from our supporters who hold their own events or participate in organised events.

Makes grants to Registered Charities, GURU NANAK HOME for Handicapped Children and RJSP Cancer Hospital in Ranchi, India

Foundation's policy is to provide grants, and services to individuals who do not have basic essentials to sustain life in Zimbabwe. It also provides grants for tuition fees, maintenance, books, computers, equipment, school uniforms to students lacking in financial resources in Zimbabwe. It also assists sick people in particular but not exclusively those suffering from HIV and cancer in Zimbabwe.
