General support to children and young people suffering with cancer who have been treated at Birmingham Children's Hospital and their families.This support principally takes the form of information, refreshments in clinic, trips, outings and holidays, the latter being primarily at the Society's holiday caravan sited in Exmouth.These activities are supported by general fundraising.

Since 31/1/07 the charity has not been operational and most of the assets have been transferred to Maggies Cancer Caring Centre to carry on similar work in the future.

Breast Cancer Care is the UK's leading provider of information, practical assistance and emotional support for anyone affected by breast cancer. All our services are free and provided by specialist staff alongside trained volunteers who have had or been closely affected by breast cancer. We are also committed to campaigning for better treatment and support for people with breast cancer.

To promote the relief of sickness through the provision of medical aid, financial assistance and other support to palliative care in the Kingdom of Swaziland and to achieve this by providing a screening detection, terminal care nursing service and education programme for health workers engaged in detection and treatment of cancer and caring for terminally ill patients.

Giving cancer patients and those living with cancer up-to-date information, practical advice and support they need to reduce the fear and uncertainty of cancer. The charity's aim is to provide information in reply to any question on any cancer. Note that this is now undertaken in the name of Macmillan Cancer Support, with which Cancerbackup merged in 2008.

The Rowena Lodge 3180 Benevolent Fund supports Lodge members, Lodge widows and family members in cases of ill health or financial hardship. In the wider community, grants are made for local charities in the Dorset, Hampshire and Isle of Wight areas, for hospices, cancer care and adults and children with learning difficulties. The education of children from deprived backgrounds is also supported.

SUPPORT BRAIN TUMOUR RESEARCH

On 1 September 2011 the Charity transferred its assets, liabilities and functions to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity (RMCC), an independent charity (Reg: 1095197) with similar aims and objectives, encompassing charitable purposes in connection with The Royal Marsden Hospital. Under a Deed of Covenant the Charity now transfers all income received to RMCC.

Help fund organisation who care for people with terminal cancer

The making of small grants to nurses employed in the NHS towards the cost of course fees to enable them to undertake approved training as specialist oncology nurses.

The charity supports research and a compassionate use programme using radioactive medicines to treat cancers including neuroendocrine tumours, lymphoma, haematological malignancies, thyroid and prostate cancer.

Breakthrough is dedicated to saving lives by finding the causes of breast cancer, improving detection, diagnosis, treatment and services.

There are no activities and we are waiting for the proper time to restart the charity activities until the situation in Iraq improved.
