Medaid UK helped build 100 bed rural hospital in Adwir, Alebtong District and 30 beds Maternity Unit at Alemere Medical Aid Uganda Community Health Centre in Northern Uganda. Working in partnership with partners in Uganda, DRC, Namibia, Ivory Coast, South Africa and Cameroon to save and transform lives of local communities by providing OPHTASCAN an AI cancer and diabetes type 2 screening tool.

The charity provides support to children diagnosed with cancer and their families and carers and raises public awareness in matters relating to childhood cancer.

Springboard is a charity set up for, and by, people with dementia and their carers. The group meets weekly and accepts all ages, but the majority of members are aged 65 and over. There are regular organised trips, recreation and leisure activities, as well as educational talks, support, presentations and promotional events. A 7 day helpline offers advice and support to members.

Friends of the Beacon is the charitable body supporting the non NHS activities of the Beacon Centre in Guildford (part of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care) a Palliative Day Care facility for persons suffering from cancer or other life changing/threatening illlness serving patients within the area covered by the Surrey PCT
