WE DO THIS BY PROVIDING:-ADVOCACY AND INTERPRETING SERVICES,REFERRING CLIENTS TO APPROPRIATE COMMUNITY AND STATUTORY SERVICE PROVIDERS,SIGNPOSTING, INFORMATION & GUIDANCE ON ALCOHOL & DRUG MISUSE, PREVENTING HOMELESSNESS AND TENANCY SUSTAINMENTS.

The Club meets once a month to provide social and recreational facilities for the hearing impaired and to keep them informed on services and resources available in an atmosphere sympathetic to the hard-of-hearing. We have talks, slide shows, outings, craft sessions etc. and, where appropriate, we hire a speech interpretation service where a computer operator types what is being said onto a screen

The Stanley Street Centre for the Deaf is still following its constitution by serving profoundly, severely and partially deaf adults. It still provides spiritual meetings in the chapel on the first Tuesday of each month; a team of ministers take it in turn to take the church meetings. Social meetings take place on Tuesdays & Saturdays with various activities and trips out being organised.

We are a parent run charity whose aim is to support families of hearing impaired children. We run activity days, parties, trips and support parents in learning sign language.

The Fitness Support Network provides cancer patients in England with a 12 month annual membership to a gym or sports facility in their local area whilst going through active cancer treatment. The charity receives applications and sets up the memberships for patients if their application is successful.

Sickle Cell and Young Stroke Survivors support the social and psychological needs of children and young people living with Sickle Cell disease and childhood Stroke in the UK. We proactively address the day-to-day needs of the children and their families to reduce isolation. We work mainly in England and are keen to provide free medical treatment and drugs to children in Africa.

Support for patients and users of the Chipping Norton War Memorial Community Hospital and healthcare facilities including maternity unit.

Provision of weekly audio memory sticks containing readings from local newspapers which are mailed to severely sight impaired and sight impaired listeners (members). In addition, DTN organises PC training for its members - to help the blind and visually impaired benefit from the technology.

Clubmark registered & affiliated to the UKA, the club offers training twice a week in Ipswich for track, field & wheelchair athletes who compete at county, regional & national level. Many athletes are part of the Special Olympics program. For 8 yrs & up .Includes young people & adults with learning disabilities, physical and sensory disabilities.

Activities for the public goodNaitbabies support research into the causes, treatment and prevention of the severe bleeding disorder FNAIT which may cause unborn/newborn babies to bleed into their brain or other major organs.We provide support, advocacy and practical assistance and a worldwide family support communication network.
