Hafal provides information, advice, support and services of the highest standard to people recovering from serious mental illness, their families and carers, in areas such as housing, education and training, rehabilitation and employment and recreation. Members directly influence the Charity through the election of Trustees who manage and direct the Charity's work.

Phoenix Employ is a unique grassroots partnership of Social Training Enterprises which work with people who are disadvantaged within society, and particularly within the labour market, because of learning and physical disabilities, sensory impairment or poor mental health/mental illness.

The Charity gives support to ladies undergoing treatment for breast cancer and those in remission. We meet monthly to give moral support, arrange speakers on various subjects and organise outings. When possible we have a breast cancer nurse attend the meetings. We help purchase various items for cancer treatment suites at local hospitals.

Charity is involved in activities related to diagnosis, management and rehabilitation of hearing impaired in less developed countries. It supports all activities which directly or indirectly benefit the hearing impaired. Charity also supports education related activities, both residential and non-residential of hearing impaired.

We help people in need through a wide range of community programmes. The charity is a support group for ladies with gynaecological cancer focussing on recovery and living life with or after a cancer diagnosis.Monies raised will support the members of the group as appropriate.

Organises conferences and training for professionals working with children and young people with mental health diffculties in England and abroad.
