Providing trained volunteer Community First Responders to attend life-threatening medical emergencies in partnership with East Midlands Ambulance Service. Advancing knowledge of basic life support skills, including CPR and the use of an automated external defibrillator within the communities we serve.

Our aim is to raise money to sponsor the training of health professionals, in their own country, to work in poor rural areas. Our first project involves raising money to sponsor the training of nurses to SRN grade in Cameroon, W Africa. 5 new nursing students sponsored this year, bring our total up to 83.We have also sponsored two nurses in Uganda to upgrade from basic nursing to SRN grade.

We provide guided meditation programs and Dhamma discussions following Buddhist scriptures 'Thripitaka', with experienced meditation teachers. We hire venues in different locations in the country to conduct these meditation programs. We provide annual meditation programs of 10 days one day monthly meditation programs in different venues in the country.

The Group are made up of volunteers trained by West Midlands Ambulance Service. They respond to 999 calls and administer medical aid until the arrival of a paramedic/ambulance. The Group covers Gnosall and surrounding villages.

Counselling by volunteer counsellors for adults and couples aged 18 and over experiencing a wide range of emotional problems, mental distress or abuse. We operate from Poynton near Stockport and online. Our clients are drawn from a wide area in East Cheshire and Stockport. We are often recommended by word of mouth, GPs, or by other organisations, such as those supporting carers.

Regular Monday evening meetings consist of a beginners' class, for which no charge is made, an open lecture, an astrological discussion group and a more advanced class. Meetings are open to both members and non-members. The Astrology Quarterly is published 4 times a year, a magazine which is free to members. An annual seminars is held, focused on a specific astrological theme.

The Thrangu Rinpoche Trust was set up to facilitate the teaching of Buddhism and meditation. The charity furthers the work of HHVVK Thrangu Rinpoche.
