Rookwood Sound Radio is a health and wellbeing radio service which is based at Llandough Hospital. We are run by volunteers. We produce and present a diverse range of radio programmes with speech and music, we play requests for patients, carers and staff. We provide health and wellbeing related information to those receiving care through interviews and other mechanisms.

We engage in training and mentoring of palliative care personnel (doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, etc) working in hospital and home-care based pc services in countries defined as 'resource-limited' - mainly in Africa and Asia. The main activities of Giver of life apostolic mission church includes life teaching, counselling, individual & group prayer meeting, mothers & babies group sessions, youth meetings, drug/alcohol support and local business prayer meetings.

The objective of the group is to relieve the physical or mental distress of persons with cancer and the partners and carers of such persons through the provision of a support group meeting monthly to provide mutual support, information and access to complementary therapies. A Professional therapist is present at most meetings and some meetings include a visiting speaker.

We provide a first response service to medical emergencies as directed by East Midlands Ambulance Service.We also demonstrate to members of the public how to check if someone is breathing, and if not, how to perform CPR on that person. We also provide medical cover at public events.
