Our club is a local branch of Lions Clubs International - the world's largest voluntary service organisation with 1.4 million members. We raise money locally to spend locally. We offer financial or practical help to individuals and groups - and also to certain local charities such as Hospice in the Weald.Our club area is roughly bounded by Five Oak Green, Yalding, Staplehurst and Horsmonden.

We provide support, treatment and research for children with cancer and other life limiting illnesses in the Wessex region by:* Providing away days away from hospital at theme parks or theatres* Funding the Beads of Courage Programme at local hospitals* Decoration of Children's Wards* Funding research*Cost-free respite breaks at Sophie's Rainbow Retreat.

The charity's main activity is being the principal supporter of the Blue House Hospice and Care Centre in the town of Sliven. There are a number of strategic partnerships with evangelical churches with whom we operate a variety of projects, improving the quality of life. Many of the projects are linked to childrens homes, sheltered homes and institutions for elderly and disabled people.

Meditation/ Buddhism classes and courses provided to public. Further classes for people wishing to deepen their Buddhist practice and/or join the Western Buddhist Order. Visits to schools and hospitals offered. Buddhist prison chaplain associated with charity. Point of contact offered for enquiries by public/ Council eg on funerals. Community living by Buddhists encouraged and subsidised.

THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ORTHODOX JEWISH FAITH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY ENABLING JEWISH PEOPLE WHO ARE PATIENTS IN HOSPITAL TO OBSERVE THE REQUIREMENTS OF THEIR FAITH THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FRESH KOSHER FOOD. THE CHARITY ALSO AIMS TO ADVOCATE FOR IMPROVED QUALITY OF CHOICE FOR PATIENTS WHO FOLLOW A KOSHER DIET, AND INSPIRE GOODNESS THROUGH PROACTIVE VOLUNTEERING IN THE COMMUNITY.

Hold fellowship with Christians in songs, prayers and sharing of bible passages. We do visit Hospices, Hospitals and Cares Home to carry out services. We do provide financial supports to other charities and help to expand support base of our chosen charities in our annual event

The charity provides housing/accommodation for the elderly in the Wellington and Nynehead areas of Somerset.

This United Kingdom based charity through a Pakistan registered trust operates a free hospital situated on the edge of G.T. Road (Taraki Moor), Tahsil Suhawa, District Jhelum, Pakistan. The hospital employs about 14 staff including 3 doctors, 3 dispensers and a lab technician for all sorts of testing. Medicines are provided free of charge. Doctor's fee Rs. 20.00 = GBP 0.065 .

PALS is a water fitness group. We run four aqua aerobics sessions per week as well as social events and outings. Our sessions are run by qualified aqua aerobics teachers and fully attended by qualified lifeguard. Members come from as far away as Taunton and Dulverton. If you are in any doubt about your fitness, please consult your GP, but be assured that we do accept GP and hospital referrals.

Providing grants to cancer patients for special equipment or facilities, hospital visiting costs, additional domestic costs etc. Patients must be referred by medical professionals, hospice senior staff or social workers etc.

Create and distribute pyjamas and surgical gowns specially designed and approved by hospitals, sewn by volunteers, to hospitals and UK children. Help children and families feel more comfortable whilst the child is undergoing surgeries or treatments in hospital, other health facility or home. Initial gown and/or pair of pyjamas are provided free of charge to the family subject to a postage charge.

Raise funds to meet the aspirations for Islamgarh Welfare Trust (IWT,) which provides primary health care and community education facilities for the poor and needy people in and around the town of Islamgarh in Mirpur, AK, Pakistan. The IWT has just completed construction of a Community Hospital.

TO ALLEVIATE THE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP SUFFERED BY THE FAMILIES OF SICK CHILDREN IN THE UK, WHERE THE CHILD'S ILLNESS REQUIRES THEM TO REMAIN IN SPECIALIST HOSPITALS A SIGNIFICANT DISTANCE FROM THEIR HOME FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. THIS WILL BE ACHIEVED THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL GRANTS TO HELP COVER COSTS SUCH AS TRANSPORT TO AND FROM THE HOSPITAL AND/OR THE COST TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATION.

Wrexham Community Gardeners renovate and maintain courtyards and other green spaces at Wrexham Maelor Hospital and other clinical locations in Wales to provide wellbeing and therapeutic gardens for the benefit of patients. The work is carried out by volunteers some of whom are patients, former patients and staff at the hospital.

For the public benefit, the protection and preservation of human life and the relief of sickness for the public benefit within the geographical area served by the North East Ambulance Service by: i.providing and assisting in the provision of high quality pre-hospital medical treatment through a network of volunteer healthcare professional, ii.educating and training

For the last 50 years we have been supporting primarily the Italian community as well as other ethnic communities in the city. We visit the sick (home/hospital). Our house is a place of prayer for those in need. We support Catholic Chaplaincy in prison as well as visiting people in work places and are involved in youth programs. We also support special projects in Africa & Brazil.

Providing services for local Chinese people and Chinese related issues. 1) Improve the quality of life of Chinese people with language and intergation problems. 2) Providing a range of support services for Chinese people. Our services include: Housing assistance, Home visiting, Translation, Counselling Services, help with GP, dentists and hospital appointments, help with forms and letters.

Sacred Africa Ministries will achieve these outcomes by in particular, but not exclusively by donating non-perishable goods food items toiletries and clothing. We support University Hospitals Birmingham Charity and Let's Feed Brum by donating male and female toiletries and volunteering to help distribute hot food and drink. We support PDSA by donating clothing and goods for sale to raise funds.

Raise funds through various fundraising activities and by inviting donations, legacies etc. from the general public. Funds are utilised in the provision of amenities and equipment for hospitals and medical centres within our catchment area.

The relief of sickness among adults and young people with life threatening illness in Spalding and South Holland by the provision of funds to provide and support hospice beds and associated palliative care.

Caterham, Oxted & Godstone Lions raise funds within the Tandridge DC area by organising events such as Barn Dances, Quizzes, Dinner Evenings, Music Concerts as well as collecting from the public with a Christmas float and catering at local fetes. The Lions Club supports local needy causes in their community including flood victims, Caterham Food Bank, St Catherine's Hospice and KSSA Ambulance.

We provide social events for clients; advocacy; advice and support for clients, family and carers; Heamoglobinopathy counselling for individuals with carrier status; we are part of the service improvement group with the hospital and provide awareness and general information for the general public.
