We support people with hearing loss in Derby/Derbyshire with 17 monthly outreach sessions in the community supporting people with advice, hearing aid servicing and to reduce social isolation as well as two sessions weekly in the local hospital. We also have a wide variety of assistive equipment for demonstration and offer training, presentations to groups as well as campaigning for better services

OUR VISION IS TO DEVELOP A NATIONAL PROGRAM THAT WILL HELP THE SENSORIAL IMPAIRED CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE TO IMPROVE THEIR LIFE EXPECTATIONS AND TO BECOME ACTIVE AND ACCEPTED MEMBERS OF THE ROMANIAN SOCIETY.

The relief of persons within the autism spectrum disorder, including PDA and persons with hidden disabilities such as Asperger, ADHD and sensory impairments such as deafness.To promote social inclusion for people with hidden disabilities who are socially excluded from society.Preventing people with hidden disabilities becoming socially excluded.Raising public awareness of hidden disabilities

To advance the education of pupils by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities and equipment for the education of pupils with physical difficulties, severe and profound multiple learning difficulties and multi-sensory impairment at Fairfields Community Special School.

To promote and advance the interest in discovery, research and preservation of the histories of deaf people, their communities, culture and language, including promoting awareness of deaf history among members of the general public.

All our members have a physical and/or sensory impairment and live and/or work in Calderdale. We engage with service providers and commissioners, mainly in local authority, health and transport sectors. By involving significant numbers of disabled people, we can have a big impact on decision makers. By using this model, disabled people are empowered and can influence policy and service delivery.

The trustees believe that the provision of education is one very practical way to help people out of poverty and into a worthwhile and sustainable life. The main areas in which the charity operates are South Sudan and Tanzania. The charity works with disadvantaged children from a variety of backgrounds including orphans and deaf children.

WE ARE A VOLUNTARY BODY OF RESIDENTS FROM DEAF HILL, TRIMDON STATION WHO HAVE COME TOGETHER TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS. To assist the spiritual, moral, educational and physical needs of deaf and hard of hearing people in the Diocese of Salisbury and the Deanery of Swindon

The Lavinia Norfolk Trust raises money to support the children with disabilities who attend the Lavinia Norfolk Centre; a specialist centre, within The Angmering School, for children with Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment or Physical Disabilities. The Trust aims to provide additional sporting and educational opportunities for these disabled young people and to enrich their lives as a result

Deaf Led & Deaf Owned charity building for deaf &/or Hard of Hearing people of all ages in the North East who are British Sign Language users or to promote learning & developing BSL.Function room community room & room hire available. Hold training & educational sessions/workshops including teaching BSL .Social events an Afternoon Club,Baby/Toddler group,Youth Club,Sports Club,Photography Club.

The Charity is established to translate, publish and disseminate the Christian Bible in British Sign Language (BSL).

The charity is used to fund activities and equipment for children subject to profound and multiple, severe and autistic and emotional behavioral difficulties some with additional sensory impairment.

We give grants, not exceeding 5000, to local and national charitable organisations supporting young people to help them get a proper start in life, for example by facilitating technical training. We also support charities helping the physically handicapped, those who are severely deaf and blind, hospice-care for the terminally ill, and nature conservancy.

West Norfolk Befriending works with socially isolated older people in West Norfolk. Our clients are isolated due to a long term physical or sensory disability or due to their role as a carer (unpaid). We provide face-to-face befriending, telephone befriending, email and group befriending throughout West Norfolk..

Since the sad closure of the school in July 2010, the main focus of the charity is now grant making to other charitable organisations that support the Objectives and philosophy of Ovingdean Hall School. This includes the promotion and provision of high quality education for deaf children and young people whilst supporting their individual social, emotional and physical needs.

Provide church services to encourage people in their Christian faith and to support each other. Visiting to keep people in touch and valued. Weekly lunch to provide love and care to the disadvantaged. Deaf Church meets monthly, and Thursday Friendship group meet weekly in term time. NA, CA & AA meet on six evenings and some day time meetings.

To enhance the lives of Deaf & hard of hearing people who are vulnerable & socially isolated within the local community. To ensure that Deaf people's social, cultural &linguistic needs are met by the continuing services & support which we provide - a total inclusive place for the Deaf community with OAP afternoons, bingo, snooker matches, Deaf Caf?, Deaf Children's & CODA parties & BSL Choir.

PROVIDES THE INTEREST AND WELFARE OF DEAF AND HEARING IMPAIRED PEOPLE. PROVIDES ACTIVITES AND FACILITIES TAILORED TO THE VARIED NEEDS OF HEARING IMPAIRED PEOPLE IN THE AREA/GROUPS. INCLUDES YOUNG PEOPLE, ADULTS, SENIOR CITIZENS, FAMILIES. COLLECTS AND DISSEMINATES INFORMATION TO THE DEAF COMMUNITY AND HEARING IMPAIRED.

Help the Child raises funds through a number of events throughout the year, with the purpose of providing items of specialist equipment and educational toys for children with special educational needs, physical disability or sensory impairment within Somerset.
