On 1 September 2011 the Charity transferred its assets, liabilities and functions to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity (RMCC), an independent charity (Reg: 1095197) with similar aims and objectives, encompassing charitable purposes in connection with The Royal Marsden Hospital. Under a Deed of Covenant the Charity now transfers all income received to RMCC.

Activities include the provision of supervised exercise, dietary advice and other rehabilitation therapy, together with a support group.

Promoting access to the historic parkland of St. James Hospital. Saving the parkland from development and encouraging its use by local people as an area of rest, recreation and knowledge of wildlife in the densely populated city of Portsmouth, Hampshire. Supporting the retention of the parkland for use by patients of St. James mental hospital.

Funding medical education

Due to Covid-19 outbreak we have decided to broaden our charitable activities to include support for key workers, NHS staff and hospitals in particular. We are currently supporting Pizza 4 NHS campaign in Hull which aims to provide pizzas and hot meals straight from local businesses to local Hull hospitals.

The charity funds a group of volunteer doctors and one nurse consultant who provide prehospital medical care to patients. The major component of our work is providing roadside care for victims of road traffic accidents, but we treat patients with a broad range of serious injury and illness. We aim to bring critical care skills to these patients that would normally only be found in hospitals.

Breathe was established in 2002 to raise funds to help children with illnesses through the purchase of equipment and services.Breathe has been able support a number of hospitals and care providers in the South East by providing equipment including a paediatric ventilator, patient monitoring unit, specialist cot cooling equipment and physiotherapy equipment.

Currently we are supporting education for the poor at the university / college level. We provided help to the internally displaced people due to the law & order situation as well as to the flood / famine victims in Pakistan. We will help medical students in their educational activities and provision of books and materials .. We will also help small hospitals with medicines & instruments.
