Ruiton Windmill Preservation and Development Trust is a registered charity that manages Ruiton Windmill in Upper Gornal, which is a listed building of historical significance and a great resource of the local community. The charity looks after the Windmill and rents out the facility to a number of groups.

To protect the preservation, restoration, maintenance of the Hilly Fields Bandstand and improvements of Hilly Fields as a public Park, and to encourage a greater recreational use by the public.
