PRESERVATION TRUST - RESTORATION OF HISTORICAL ENVIRONMENT

Funds are raised primarily through Christmas card sales made by the publisher Phoenix Trading (up to 2017) and since then by the publisher Flamingo Paperie. Direct sellers associated with Flamingo Paperie Limited (and previously Phoenix Trading) have a long and successful history of helping charities and good causes raise money by supporting fundraising events.

This year more interviews have taken place to add to the website created last year. There now stands a useful, educational and informative website documenting stories of Britain's industrial past via the mediums of audio, text and video. The website continues to have the capacity to grow as more interviews are conducted. The work was funded by The View From The North Ltd.

Gifts to advance education of the public in the Humanities, particularly Classics and History of Art

1. The advancement of public appreciation of art and historical interiors between the years 1850 and 1950, in particular but not exclusively for the benefit of primary and secondary school children 2. To advance education regarding the materials and conservation methods used for art and historical interior pieces between the years 1850 and 1950.

Preserve for the benefit of the people of Islington, Camden and the City of London and of the Nation, the historical, architectural and constructional heritage that may exist in and around Islington, Camden and the City of London

Dissemination of historical athletic literature.

Supports the restoration of Hurst Grange Park Coach House (an important historical building currently disused) and conversion for use as a visitor centre and indoor space resource for use by the community. The group has obtained details and costs of work required to arrest the decay and make the building fit for the use described above and have concentrated on raising funds to support a HLF bid.
