Weekly winter lectures on natural history and bird-watching, workshops re education, information and local studies of natural history topics such as moth trapping, fungi and bat detection and field trips throughout the year. The charity promotes education in history and the arts relating to the City of York. It makes grants or loans to secure the publication of information relating to York's history and promotes public lectures. It holds an essay competition and offers a university history prize. 1). To restore and preserve MCR21, a 1960s BBC television mobile control room.2). To inform and educate the public, particularly young people, about the history of MCR21 and the broadcast technology used to construct television outside broadcast units in the 1960s.

We have supplied young people with clothing such as P.E kits, Jackets and Uniform. For example, without P.E kit students are less likely to get involved in lessons, therefore affecting their education. We have also been able to send students on Geography and History trips to support their GCSE?s, if we were not able to support these young people it would affect their GCSE results.

We collect store and exhibit items which record the history of the parish of St Just in Roseland in Cornwall. We put on exhibitions, talks and films. We work with all age groups and have joined with other organisations to carry out projects. We now own 2 B.T. telephone boxes in which we display information and photos describing the history of the parish.
