Distributes a newsletter several times a year with details of upcoming events relevant to our field of interest, book reviews, short research articles, member queries. Publishes collections of papers. Conducts visits to relevant sites, museums, libraries etc. Holds a biennial conference, and occasional one-day conferences and seminars.

The objects of the Foundation are the advancement ofthe education of the public in the nature, preception, history and impact of modern war and people's experince of war; and- the arts, culture, and heritage related to war and war-time experience.

To advance public education by establishing and publically exhibiting a collection of historic vehicles and transport related artefacts.

Each year we arrange 10 lectures on Arts subjects, 5 visits to museums, galleries and places of interest and 2 special interest days for members and their guests from the public to attend. We supported Young Arts by providing bursaries to two students of easel conservation at the Hamilton Kerr Institute. We also support volunteer Church Recorders and two groups of Heritage Volunteers.

We run a Local History museum which is open to the public btween April and September.

A village civic society that also organises and manages a small village museum.

The society provides an accredited museum with interesting and changing displays of local interest. The society encourages interest in Wymondham past, present and future. Regular monthly meetings are held and a newsletter is published. The society seeks to protect the local environment and the town's conservation area is closely supervised.

To promote & maintain interest in Trolleybus activities. The company owns 6 preserved Trolleybuses.We also produce a bi-monthly magazine to promote knowledge & provide information to our membership.

Museum Operation & Other Charitable Purposes

Shadwell Opera is one of the UK's leading opera voices, performing since 2009. We work with the UK's best young singers and instrumentalists, introducing people to British contemporary opera: in theatres, warehouses, churches, museums, and community centres. We educate schoolchildren about opera, and work with communities to give people their first experience of the art form.

To provide facilities of a historic nature in the Borough of Wellingborough in the Dulley's Baths building, including the Wellingborough Museum.

The advancement of education for the public benefit in the life and works of Sir Joseph Banks of Revesby (1743-1820) in particular but not exclusively by providing a museum and in such other ways as the trustees see fit.

The Sime Gallery reflect different artistic styles and enables the public to learn about Sidney Sime;foremost a VictorianEdwardian illustrator with a unique gift for fantasy and heightened imagination. 800 paintings, illustrations, theatrical and amusing local caricatures, large oils of fantastical scenes, stunning Scottish landscapes, letters on view as a source of education and enjoyment.

The education of the public principally in Hastings and East Sussex in all areas of the arts, but mainly on the visual arts, by providing permanent professional standard gallery space for members to exhibit their work to the public, and by providing a public resource for the development of skills and knowledge, encouraging collaboration, networking and debate within all areas of the arts.

The Peter Marlow Foundation encourages, examines and celebrates the photography of humanity, its impact and legacy. From 2024 it will do this from a gallery based in Dungeness, Kent, housing an extensive archive and library, and offering workshops, exhibitions, residencies and talks to schools, the public and professionals.

Running a heritage museum

Primarily to encourage interest in Industrial Heritage, particularly the stationary steam engine as widely used in the textile industry throughout the north of England. The Society has developed a museum at the Bolton Steam Museum where its collection of some 29 steam engines can be seen working in steam by the public on regular Open Days.

To advance education of the public on topics including the history and development of mental health care and treatment, personal mental health and wellbeing, learning disabilities and the First World War by running and maintaining a museum for the benefit of the public

Assisting in the preservation of such British motorcycles as are of historic and scientific importance and providing for their display to the public.

The CIO was formed to take over the work of Nidderdale Museum Society (regd charity 532339) with effect from 1st April 2022. Its object is to advance the education of the public by maintaining a museum to preserve and share the heritage of the Nidderdale area by collecting, conserving and exhibiting items of archaeological, historical, industrial, educational and community interest.
