Heritage Charities That specialise in Natural history

The objects of the Charity are to encourage high standards of architecture and town planning in the Holme Valley Parish Council area, to stimulate the interest of the public in the beauty, history, natural history, character and architecture of the area, and to influence the development and improvement of features of historic interest or public amenity in the area.

The objectives of the society are:- 1. To compile lists of the flora and fauna of the district, 2. To study the natural history, culture and history of the district, 3. To make a photographic record of the district, 4. To promote the conservation of the flora and fauna of the district. The society arranges lectures and field meetings, and publishes a monthly bulletin of its findings.

To promote the understanding of natural history and archaeology by field work, education, research and lectures.

The Cardiff Civic Society aims: to promote high standards of planning, architecture and environment affecting the City of Cardiff; to provide education on the environment, history, natural history and architecture; and to secure the preservation, conservation, protection, development and improvement of features of historic/public interest in the City of Cardiff.

Within the Parish of Westbere the society aims toa) promote high standards of planning and architecture;b) educate regarding the local geography, natural history and architecture; andc) secure the preservation, development and improvement of features of historic or public interest.The society provides a newsletter and organises events and activities for its members and the local community.

The award of bursaries for natural history projects, particularly those associated with ornithology and photography

1. To promote high standards of planning and architecture in or affecting Whitstable.2. To educate the public in the Geography, History, Natural History and Architecture of Whitstable.3. Observes, studies and records natural history in all its aspects in and around Southampton and promotes, organises and ecourages the education of the public in the study of, and advancement of, knowledge in natural history in all branches. Cooperates with national and county organisations promoting conservation. Holds field meetings, lectures and exhibitions.

Arranges a programme of lectures and excursions each year in accord with our interests in local history, archaeology, architecture and natural history and occasionally on related topics.
