Cooking a Hot Meal on Christmas Day for 100 approx people, an outing by Canal Boat for people from residental/nursing homes, providing and maintaining a pendant-operated Lifeline Telephone service with approx 400 units in service, plus helping the community in various task as and when required to do so. This society organises 10 lectures a year, a number of outings to various places of artistic interest at home and abroad. Decorative and Fine Arts groups are supported by volunteers and funding is provided to support research. Donations are also provided to support the preservation and development of our national artistic heritage.

We also act as a community 'hub' and run a variety of clubs and courses such as Story Club for Children, Work Club assisting job seekers, Computing4Dummies, Access Info Point for Wakefield District Housing tenants, Book Club, Cycling Club, Ancestry course.................
