The Edward Holt Trust operates across Greater Manchester. Its principal activity is maintaining Holt House in Didsbury, which provides accommodation for older people with limited means. Recently the Trust has sought ways to have a more strategic impact on disadvantaged people in the area by assisting a number of homelessness projects with capital funds and other support costs.

Provision of support to homeless and vulnerable people in Shrewsbury

We provide care support and resettlement to local homeless young people to help them find and maintain independent accommodation.

Sussex Nightstop Plus recruit, train and coordinate a body of volunteer hosts from the local community to provide emergency short-term accommodation for those aged 16 years and above who are at risk of rough-sleeping, with a current emphasis on the 16-25 age group. Working with trusted local referral agencies and partners we offer a safe place to stay whilst a safer longer-term home is found.

There are a wide variety of activities which take place with in the charity depending upon the skills and abilities of the Sisters. Beauty Banks is a charity focused on supporting adults, children and babies living in hygiene poverty in the UK. We supply brand new essential toiletries to charities and other organisations around the country, including food banks, homeless shelters, family support centres, women's refuges, mental health trusts, care leavers' support centres and schools.

Supporting children and adults with learning disabilities and/or physical impairments to access their community; supporting the homeless and adults with mental health conditions through befriending projects; facilitating initiatives aimed at making South Wales a greener, cleaner and safer area - through community and environmental initiatives.
