Religion Charities That specialise in Church or place of worship

Our activities focus on fun, informative and healthy clubs and are undertaken to further our charitable purposes for the public benefit. We aim to provide as many different types of activities as possible to benefit a broad range of people within the community. St Michaels Church is also a partner in the running of the centre and runs a variety of activities which are open to all.

Church activities; donations from congregation, grants and fund raising, with expediture on Parish Share to Bradford Diocese, charities, running expenses and building maintenance.

THE PCC OF ALL SAINTS HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROMOTING IN THE PARISH THE WHOLE MISSION OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND. IT ALSO HAS MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE CHURCH BUILDING. IT PLAYS A FULL PART IN THE LIFE OF THE DEANERY AND THE DIOCESE, AND SUPPORTS ITS WORK THROUGH THE PARISH SHARE. THE DIOCESE SUPPORTS ALL SAINTS THROUGH THE PROVISION OF CLERGY AND THEIR HOUSING.

Worhip services on Sunday. Womens own (social get together). Bible studies. Small Fry (for mothers and small children). Open doors (social for members and general public with cooked lunch). Messy church. Holiday at Home (1 week of outings and activities for the elderly).

Regular public worship open to all; provision of sacred space for personal prayer & contemplation, pastoral work, teaching of Christianity by various means; provision of a youth club with a Christian ethos, promoting the whole mission of the Church through events & meetings & distribution of literature; provision of activities for special need groups; supporting other charities in UK & overseas.

We provide a place and opportunity for worship, a chance to ask questions and learn about the Christian faith. We engage in pastoral care and outreach to our church family and local community and encourage social awareness amoung our members. The buildings are used to support a range of different church associated groups and private hires from the community. We conduct weddings and funerals.

The Parochial Church Council has the responsibility of "co-operating with the incumbent in promoting in the parish the whole mission of the church - pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical".

Jacobite Church Diocese Council (MSOC council) An umbrella charity to provide church resources and training for children, youth and adult.

Regular public worship-open to all allowing a sacred space for prayer, listening and contemplation.

Providing a place of worship, educating people about religion, pastoral care, missionary work, generally advancing Christianity for the benefit of any and all people at no cost. This will primarily be provided through regular Sunday church gatherings in Newton Hall, Durham, open to all people at no cost and advertised to the public on our website and through facebook.

SERVING THE LOCAL COMUNITY IN DAILY PRAYERS AND PROVIDING RELIGIOUS EDUCATION FOR CHILDRENS.

RELIGOUS AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Our primary objective is the promotion of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to the doctrine and practices of the Church of England. This includes public acts of worship, provision of pastorally relevant religious ceremonies. We are actively involved in our local community and aim to welcome all from our community and we engage in a variety of community based events.

Worship services, bible studies, prayer meeting, pastoral care, youth meetings, visitations, outreach.

As a local congregation of the URC we seek advancement of the Christian faith for the benefit of the public in accordance with the Scheme of Union of the URC. We are aware of our charitable obligations and endeavour to make decisions that benefit all. This includes regular public worship ; teaching the faith to all ages and supporting small local and larger national and international charities.

St Johns PCC has the responsibility of co-operating with the incumbent, the Rev Henry Kendal, in promoting in the ecclesiastical parish the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social, and ecumenical. It also has maintenance responsibilities for the vicarage, the church hall and 7a Upper St Michaels Grove.
