The Object of the CIO is, for the public benefit the advancement of the Christian faith in the Stockport, Greater Manchester area, the United Kingdom and the world as the trustees may from time to time decide.

The purposes of the church shall be:-(1) the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the basis of faith primarily but not exclusively within Dukinfield and the surrounding neighbourhood; and2) such other charitable purposes as shall, in the opinion of the members of the church in general meeting further the work of the church.

The public through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals, the provision and maintenance of places of public religious worship by persons professing the religion of Islam, the provision and maintenance of religious and educational centres and other places of study, the cemeteries and burial places for the burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
