The Charity oversees five almshouses, collects weekly maintenance contributions from the five occupiers, and maintains the properties in a good state of repair, and looks after the welfare of the five lady occupants. The five houses are 139-147, Church Lane, Marple, Stockport SK6 7LD.

To advance and promote the religion, spiritual and cultural interests of the followers of the Hindu faith by providing a place of worship of the Hindu faith by persons professing the Hindu religion and where may be celebrated the principal Hindu festivals and the religious functions in accordance with the Hindu faith. Also organizing health and social promotion group activities for young and old.

Religious Activities

Offering assistance to the needy at home and abroad by donating aids in various means especially in disaster areas e.g the Haiti appeal. Members who become needy e.g through loss of employment receive assistance with their bills etc. Assistance is also extended to non-members. The public is always encouraged to attend meetings. Monthly contributions made to the Christian solidarity worldwide.

Worshipping of the Triune God through Jesus Christ. Building individual members to full maturity in Christ. Emphasizing an "every member ministry" based on individual spiritual gifts. Building strong family relationships as the foundation of society. Bringing non-believers to faith in Christ both locally and world-wide.

We run a mobile Food-Bank to provide relief to those in short term crisis in Higham Ferrers and the surrounding towns.We also provide 'Higham Ferrers Free 4 All Music' to aid Mental Health and Wellbeing.We run a Befriending Service for the older adults in Higham Ferrers and the surrounding towns.We provide free phone and chat for older people to tackle loneliness and isolation.

Holding Regular Christian worship services to promote the christian faith in the community,

The Friends of St Thomas Church activities include raising funds to support the Parochial Church Council in relation to maintenance of the buildings, fabric and surrounding churchyard.

The Church provides religious services for public worship, including the dissemination of Spiritualist teaching and philosophy,together with special services throughout the year, along with events and functions.

Build and run a new church hall for the benefit of two churches and the wider community.

In furtherance of its objects the Charity organises events and meetings alongside the meetings of the General Synod of the Church of England and on other occasions, responds to issues raised by members and others, and publishes articles, reports and analysis with a particular focus on the role of women at all levels in the church. We also participate in consultations and working groups.

Management of charities assets to provide an income which provides grants for the repair of St Mary's Church Reepham and relief for the disadvantaged of Reepham.

To make known the Christian gospel by evangelistic outreach and social action and to donate money both to relieve poverty and encourage outreach.

Fund raising for the benefit of members of Finchley Central Federation Synagogue and for the distribution of charity to organisations and individuals at the discretion of the Trustees

Also support of Missionary Societies as New Tribes Mission, Echoes of Service,Slavic Gospel Association, MAF.

HOLDING REGULAR CHRISTIAN WORSHIP SERVICES IN THE COMMUNITY TO PROMOTE THE MESSAGE OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH.
