Promote Jewish Religous education and relief of poverty

The provision and distribution of grants and donations to Orthodox Jewish Charities.

The charity owns a building which houses a primary school for boys in Salford known as Toras Emes providing education based on tenets of the Orthodox Jewish religion.

The Trust is established to further those purposes both in the United Kingdom and abroad recognised as charitable by English Law and in furtherance of Orthodox Judaism, to advance education and religion in accordance with Jewish faith and to give philanthropic aid to the Jewish needy.

To provide and maintain a place of worship for the benefit of the public, bymaintaining a communal synagogue, and from that facility providing prayermeetings, lectures, religious study, public celebration of religious festivals andother religious activities for the Orthodox Jewish Community.

Provide daily social, educational and religious facilities for the Jewish community, young and old. Offer rooms and venue hire to general local community for their functions, clubs, groups and local business activities.

This Jewish initiative with supporters of all faiths and none, aims to help better relations between Jews, Palestinians and others living in Israel, the West Bank, Gaza and Golan, and as refugees in the wider Middle East. We work with Palestinians and Israeli Jews committed to a just resolution of the Israel/Palestine conflict. We also support work with Golan Syrians and refugees/migrant workers.

To advance the Orthodox Jewish religion through grants to synagogues and religious organisations, support Jewish and general education, relieve poverty and financial hardship, and assist in the relief of sickness and infirmity through grants to individuals and charities.

JSAS trading as Migdal Emunah was launched in February 2013, as a support service for child and adult victims of sexual abuse and violence within the Jewish community. We provide free independent support to anyone in the community with concerns or disclosures of sexual abuse and violence. We provide workshops and training for professionals and parents to help prevent further sexual abuse.

Provide, maintain & carry on a place or places of worship & advance Progressive Judaism.The Synagogue provides, arranges & conducts religious services and classes. It solemnises marriages for members. It provides facilities for the instruction of proselytes, for burial & cremation of members and for religious education and religious services.It promotes educational, cultural & social activities.

The council operates the burial service for most of the Orthodox Jewish Community in the region as well as the Scan Levy Scheme and co-ordinates and contributes to the maintenance and improvement of the Jewish cemeteries.

The objectives of the charity are the relief of poverty amongst persons of the jewish faith in any part of the world, the advance of the jewish religion in any part of the world and the advancement of the education of the public in any part of the world in the knowledge of the jewish history & culture.
