The Charity was formed under a constitution dated 15 March 2013, with its objectives being the advancement of the Orthodox Jewish faith by providing financial and other support for Jewish schools, synagogues and other communal organisations and the relief of those in need because of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage by providing financial support.

GESHER'S MAIN ACTIVITY IS DESIGNING & FUNDING PROJECTS THAT BUILD LINKS, REMOVE BARRIERS & ENCOURAGE UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN JEWS OF DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS & STRENGTHEN THEIR SHARED IDENTITY.PROGRAMMES REACH A WIDE RANGE OF AGE GROUPS VIA EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS, MEDIA INITIATIVES, LEADERSHIP COURSES & MEDIATION TO ENABLE A STRONGER, MORE PROSPEROUS & UNITED JEWISH PEOPLE IN ISRAEL & AROUND THE WORLD.

TO FOSTER SOCIAL COHESION, PROMOTE MENTAL WELL-BEING, AND PROVIDE JEWISH EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL INITIATIVES FOR ALL AGES: SUPPORTING THE ELDERLY, ENGAGING ADULTS, EMPOWERING TEENAGERS, AND NURTURING CHILDREN IN THEIR FAITH. TO ADVANCE JUDAISM IN BURY, MANCHESTER, AND SALFORD THROUGH PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES, FESTIVALS, AND LITERATURE, ENSURING SPIRITUAL, MENTAL, AND COMMUNAL NEEDS ARE MET.

To spread an appreciation of choral and other music and to educate and improve public interest in and knowledge of such music by the giving of public performances and such other means as are charitable. To give special emphasis to the presentation of works with Jewish associations, The Choir is a non-profit making organisation whose individual members do not seek payment for their activities.

The Objects of the charity are:(i) to advance the Jewish religion for the benefit of the public in accordance with the doctrines of the Jewish religion(ii) to advance education for the benefit of the public(iii) for any such purposes deemed charitable by the law of England and Wales as the Trustees of the Congregation shall from time to time determine.

Collection of funds to assist charitable institutions and advance the Orthodox Jewish faith.The charity does not respond to unsolicited requests.

Religous activities. School and Youth Group visit's to learn about Messianic Judaism, as well as visits to schools by the Rabbi.Practical support for members of the local community.

The charity organises classes, workshops, seminars all based around the concept of some of the fundamental beliefs in the Jewish religion. The teaching of these fundamental beliefs are the foundations for living in a person own development, relationship, marriage and parenting.

Actvities:Harif organises a broad range of events to educate about the history and culture of Jews from the Middle East and North Africa - these include, the full gamut:- Lectures, Discussions, Films, Book launches, Cookery Demonstrations, Concerts at communal halls, synagogues, churches and educational establishments. During the CV19 pandemic, we have been using Zoom meetings and webinars.

The advancement of the Jewish religion and to apply the capital and income of the Charity or either of them for the charitable purposes of such one or more Jewish Bodies Associations and organisations being charitable which the Charity shall select and to such other charitable purposes as the Charity shall select. i.e. operate bank accounts, raise funds, donations, staff, buy/sell property etc.

Provide places of worship through prayers, raise awareness and understanding of religious beliefs and pastoral care.Education such as out-of-school education, adult classes, these are not limited to the advancement of religion to the Jewish faith.The prevention or relief of poverty or financial hardship, providing items or services to individuals in need of relief of poverty.

THE OBJECT OF THE CIO SHALL BE THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ORTHODOX JEWISH FAITH IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING GRANTS, RELIGIOUS REQUISITES, GROCERIES AND OTHER FOOD TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED OF SUCH ASSISTANCE TO ENABLE THEM TO CELEBRATE THE SABBATH AND OTHER JEWISH RELIGIOUS HOLIDAYS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ORTHODOX JEWISH LAW AND CUSTOM.

Construction and maintenance of facilities for the observance by Jews of the Jewish Sabbath

The objects of the Trust have been achieved by the Trust entering into a 125 year lease with the foundation trustees of NCJPS for land on the campus of that school. On this land a purpose built 70 place nursery has been erected
