St Mary's is a Church of England parish in the centre of Todmorden. As well as worship, Bible Study, funerals, weddings, baptisms and other services we run a drop in cafe on Thursdays, work with the local foodbank, host musical events, offer pastoral visiting and support and work in partnership with the wider community on environmental, social and interfaith activities.

In partnership with Christ Church Toxteth Park we serve St Michael's ward, a diverse and vibrant community of South Liverpool. Community development, work alongside homeless and vulnerable people (including offenders), children's and youth provision, care of older people, conservation of a unique cast iron church building and marking key life events such as birth and marriage.

The role of St Michael's is the proclamation and preservation of the authentic Catholic Faith which this church was built to maintain. The PCC has the responsibility of cooperating with the Incumbent in considering the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit and that for the advancement of religion.
